What is larger than believing that there is neither male nor female in Christ, and that any restrictions on women is a redact by Neo-Platonists merging their philosopy with Christianity in the late first and early second century when they were forming a professional "clergy?"

It is NOT neglecting the larger issues in your post, it is DISPROVING them and YOU have NO answer for it.

The scripture you quote was written by Paul, who said overseers and deacons should be men. The passage you reference is about salvation, not positions of service.

Jesus, when choosing the 12, chose men.

Excusing prejudice only proves the fact the OP mentioned.

Was Jesus prejudice, Nate?

The OP is a flaming liberal, who is "friends" with a made-up god.

His society certainly was. Would it have helped His message to flaunt that? Women were prominent disciples, and Jesus said that Mary chose the better part, as opposed to Martha's concerns.

To no one's surprise, we see the fundamentalist male jackals rearing up on their hind legs and whining their defense of the indefensible.

They are cowards and weaklings who require insecure women lacking in self-esteem to make them feel like "real" men.

They rely on their "holy" book to keep submissive women in their place.

Truth is: Fundamentalist men hate and fear strong women. So, they do everything in their power to lower their self esteem in order to make them more tractable for the manipulation of weak men. It starts in childhood with the dreaded (lying) words: "Girls don't/can't do that."

The first part is so very true..I follow in the steps of Christ...as for the second...that remains to be seen..

Here is what I will say--

I SINCERELY HOPE YOUR VIEW OF GOD IS RIGHT---for two reasons---

1. You are going to be so terribly shocked and filled with disbelief when it turns out you are wrong.

2. I DO NOT WANT TO EVEN BE IN THE SAME ROOM AS THE GOD IN WHICH YOU BELIEVE-- WHO HAS THE MENTALITY, TRAITS and CHARACTERISTICS YOU TEACH TO BE TRUE.
