yes, but this inner guide tells me that as much as i would like to discount the Bible, that is because i lack Wisdom, and do not know how to read It yet. Even Paul, which i am starting to decipher. Even if i am prepared to believe all things, where is the fallible?
So the inner guide can only relate to you certain things . Your bible speaks far better things of the inner guide than the limitation you put on it.

Jesus did not promise scripture as a guide. and no matter how you try to stretch the Timothy citation to cover it, neither does that. Jesus DID promise the Spirit and the ONLY way you can know that Spirit is by the "fruit," as your Bible also states.
The Bible does not say any of those things.
What is the Spirit going to guide us into if it isn't the Scriptures?
If 2 Tim 3:16 is true, and every jot and tittle in the Bible is, then the Bible is our only source of truth from God.
We don't know the Spirit by the fruit of the Spirit, We know the Spirit when we believed teh gospel of our salvation and are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise(Eph 1:13).

hmm. can a hypocrite also be one who hears what he wants to hear, rather than what they want to say tho? One needs ears, to hear. Even the ones you don't understand, and you joyfully concur with.
Basically a hypocrite says one thing but does not do it. Jesus called the pharisees hypocrites because they put on an outward appearance of keeping the law but were actually disobeying he things they taught.
I don't see where any of the hearts in that parable point to a hypocrite, but I wouldn't rule i out.

It is. Eph 5:26 will tell you what our water is. Jn 15:3 will tell you what it does for us.
No you cannot. 2 Tim 3:16 says nothing about UNDERSTANDING by the "fruit of the Spirit." Profitable just means USEFUL. It is one verse referring to the OT. 1 Cor 13, Galatians 5 and the Sermon on the Mount encompass myriad verses detailing the characteristic fruits of the Holy Spirit of agape love (Who IS God).
If 2 Tim 3:16 is not true, then you can have no assurance the fruit of the Spirit is from God. You hve no assurance agape love is real. The list goes on and on and on.
Someone summarized that verse as follows; Doctrine shows us what road to take. reproof tells us when we get off the right road. Correction tell us how to get back on the right road. Instruction in righteousness tells us how to stay on the right road.
