I wish the Catholic church would change it's crazy teaching on the Celibacy of the Priesthood so the male Priests would not be tempted to molest the children. That would be a good change, for sure.
The Church has never and never will change its doctrine on the main issues. Celibate priests can be changed but it isn't what caused priests to molest, even married men molest.

Yes, and she will also confiscate all your guns and also abolish the constitution so she can remain president forever instead of just two terms I've been hearing the same old tosh from right-wing Americans all the way since 2008 when Obama got elected. Can't you think of something more original to scare the gullible with?

Here is the email.

"planting the seeds of revolution" These are evil people.
John Podesta is a Roman Catholic who frequently teaches at the R.C. Georgetown University.

Sandy Newman is a non-Catholic. It is in his letter that the phrase "plant the seeds of the revolution" occurs - though in quotes. Is he quoting a previous letter by Podesta or from some other source. That would be interesting to know.

Revolutions have occurred before in the R.C. church, and several very large Protestant denominations were the result; and their secession from the R.C. impelled that church to begin its own attempts at reform, as you must know.

Nothing evil at work here, just people with a different religious agenda than yours about birth control, etc. As far as the negative reference to R.C. bishops, one needs only look at their role in concealing and sheltering child molesting priests in the U.S. and Ireland. And their failure to weed them out of the clergy in order to understand that episcopal loyalties lie with shielding the reputation of the church, and not with protecting their flock from evil. Thus, it is certainly understandable that some Catholics might like a revolutionary cleanup of the church, which its bishops and the last three popes have shrunk away from.

Guess that depends on what you call the "main" issues. I suspect the "main" issues are YOURS.

Officially, before Vatican 2 in 1965 AD, all non-Catholic churchgoers will go to HELL! Today it is different!
Sign of the cross not practiced by apostles but started in 9th century! Tertullian made the sign on the forehead. Today it is different!
53 Roman Catholic Doctrines not found in the Bible (1400 years of doctrinal evolution)
Marriage to non-Catholics was invalid until 1818 AD.
Eucharist: Withholding the communion cup from the laity began in 1416 AD.
Eucharist: Frequency of communion changed from weekly to daily in 500 AD.
Baptism changed from immersion to sprinkling in 1311 AD.
No infant baptism till 4th century.
No Pope was considered infallible until 1870 AD

Here is a Picture of the Pope kissing the Qur'an. This is like kissing Satan! We are utterly shocked that any Christian would kiss the Koran.

All the above points found at:
Doctrinal evolution: Roman Catholic doctrinal flip flops

Your views are more those of Protestant fundamentalists than modern Catholics.

It is interesting that the OP refers to a Wiki leak that in fact is trying to help the catholic church survive (at least in the US) by suggesting support for contraception - which is (since this has become a debate on abortion) an alternative to that.

To suggest that this is trying to destroy the Church by trying to destroy this particular bit of doctrine is missing the point by a very wide margin. By helping religions that are NOT the prevalent Protestant church to continue, this is working FOR Religious liberty rather than against it.
