Do you truly know the depth of this homeless persons love for others.
Because you painted a picture of him having no time for love at all?

You say he has no love to speak of, and yet he has experienced love, has he not, from the "kind folks" at the shelters? It is their loving kindness, I would say, that has given him the ability to hope and have faith, because through them he became aware of love.

Love can never be absent, Miss H, if God IS love. It is just a matter of becoming aware of it.

Perhaps he will will have enough faith and hope to experience love. Of the three love is eternal, while faith and hope are needed only here in our flesh.
