I'm trying to get you to think about the implications of YOUR beliefs. Which is that people spend eternity in hell because they don't believe what you believe. Obviously you are not interested, and perhaps are not capable, of doing that.

Nope! Never said that. I have no authority to judge others. My opinion matters not. Jesus' words DO matter. In the book of John, He says we are condemned and will spend eternity in Hell, outside of faith in Him.
Do you feel some people are beyond the reach of God's forgiveness?

I'm not a fundamentalist. I believe God loves each of us more than we are capable of understanding. I do not believe the fundamentalists' claim, based on your interpretation of the Bible, that we are all born as filthy sinners bound for hell. I believe hell is on this earth and is not some place God sends all the people who are, in the minds of you fundamentalists, "unsaved".
I'm not a fundamentalist. I do not believe everyone on earth has to do what you fundamentalists think is necessary to avoid meeting Satan. Including, for Bundy, meeting up with James Dobson. Who managed to tell the world Bundy turned into a raping murderer because he looked at porn. Were that true the Bible Belt would be jammed to the gills with ruthless serial killers.

I'll take that as a "no". If that's the case, then we agree.
I never said it did. You're deflecting. As usual.

It is a defense mechanism that is fostered early on in the indoctrination process. It is very likely that he is NOT capable of overriding it, Dew. The doctrine of "believing the right thing" is primarily designed to promote membership in the right church. It has nothing to do with our salvation because WE have nothing to do with our salvation. Jesus took care of that for us all and it is finished. No one is in the non-existent hell of the false Christian doctrine of hellfire and brimstone, let alone for not believing the right things.

Paul, who you quoted earlier, says otherwise. So did Jesus.
Romans 10:9-10
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Paul says a person must express it with their mouth in order to be saved. Do you believe a person has to literally say out loud to a crowd of people "I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior" in order to follow Paul's dictum and receive salvation?" Or is just believing Jesus is your Lord and Savior enough even though it does NOT follow Paul's dictum that the words have to be spoken? Paul says one thing and John says something entirely different.
