Strange, I thought we had JESUS? My bad, guess he really is DEAD...
All Christians have been saved by the risen Christ, and His spirit lives within them. One day, He will return for His bride, the Church. We will live with Him for eternity.
The God of the universe left heaven, came to earth and paid for the sins of the entire world and the world ignores or rejects it and treats it like a common thing. Those will simply continue to be separated from Jesus as they are spiritually today, no one needs to be sent to hell, we are all born ready for it. You would expect no less from God.......we are all doomed in the sin of rejection but Jesus has provided a glorious free way out of the dilemma........all you have to do is believe.......but all those "workers' out there just can't buy it and so will just disappear from view and be forgotten in the abyss of hell where they WANT to be.......
It is different, to some of us anyway. There are a lot of professing Christians, however, who feel if you reject their spin on the scriptures, you have rejected Jesus and they have no problem condemning you to hell either - easy as pie for them to just write you off into their perception of hell and throw away the key. And then they wonder why no one wants anything to do with the image of Christ they present
The Bible is the only record we have of who Jesus was and what He said and did. If you reject that Jesus, you reject Jesus.

Like our ignorant ancestors, jimmie thinks the scriptures are the way to eternal life, but they only tell us ABOUT Jesus who IS the way to eternal life.

That is NOT the New Covenant and you have been told this before. God has "written His laws into our hearts and minds" so we do not need anyone to teach us or (or any book to read). Christ abides with us as the Comforter sent in His name to guide us to the truth God has "written in our hearts." You ignore what is in your heart if it disagrees with what is in your book, jimmie. That is NOT believing the New Covenant. Our salvation is by Christ but our sanctification is by His grace (perfection) for our imperfections as we love God and each other every day and repent when we don't.

Not true. I actually agree with the bolded.

Wrong! You need to study the book of Hebrews, where the New covenant is explained in detail. The New covenant is grace, as opposed to the Law.
I think the author of that passage wrote what he believed to be true.
Most of John 3 is Jesus speaking.
