It validates *everything* that an evangelical Christian does, because he can just "pray" over a problem, so that his resulting decision has the authority of God behind it.
He doesn't realize that he is just doing what he wants to do. Or at least he doesn't admit it.
It is amusing but sad when those who don't understand the subject comment on it like they do.

Prove there aren't...The problem that you are having is that you do not want to know truth...You just want to know your truth which may or may not be the truth...But, you convince yourself that it is, as your conscience is seared with a red hot poker....

This is such a perverse claim. The Bible is RIDDLED with inconsistencies and contradictions but they cannot be seen by those who will not see!!

I suspect you are correct. There is an unwillingness to see any contradictions because they want to believe that the Bible is 100% inerrant and infallible. Sad, very sad.
Some were---the dietary laws and the sacrificial laws. The moral laws are still in effect, but no to make people righteous.
