The common view among historians today is that the Sermon on the Mount is the only verifiable teaching of Jesus. But that even it is taken from a compilation of 1st century AD and 1st century BC Jewish rabbis.

How do we determine what is the true "teaching of Jesus"?

Why would the son of God teach anything but LOVE?

Who ya gonna' convince anyway? Don't worry about it. And there is no "common view" among historians. Just the "most common" view among a dump truck load of "common views". And then there's the other dump truck load of politically motivated viewpoints.

OP, there is NO verifiable teaching of Christ. The TRUE teaching is possible ONLY with Master present. When Master is gone, the flock is following footprints in the sand. That's it. Only a true disciple can carry the teaching, the flame of it, in him and even that is not for long. As finding a true disciple is arduous work for a Master.
So all of His teaching died with him on the cross, as his "disciples" didn't even dare to come to his last moment, yet went to argue who will be the boss and lesser boss in haven.
Seriously, Ozzy...

He did not write anything; it's merely a form of Rubricating.
Or, a modern practice of emphasizing, similar to italicization.
