This and ....
Matthew 16:24-26King James Version (KJV)
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me

Do we as Christians, need to be ready to die for our faith? Does it matter whether we are male or female?

'Need' to...nope. That is not to say if in a 'Columbine' situation and when asked...
we deny our belief.

Male or female, huh?

If you follow the plan, YOU MUST DIE.

Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

You have to die for your friend when you die daily for Christ.

I would that people would surround me with swords and knives to demand that I deny Christ and then my suffering would be nothing at all, I would so GLADLY WELCOME being killed for Christ, and do I SERIOUSLY MEAN THIS?

Seeing that I fail EVERY DAY, and seeing that I crucify Christ over and over again going back to my sin, I PROVE MYSELF UNWORTHY.

I am CERTAIN if somebody came to me and said,'' DENY CHRIST or I will shoot you,'' that I would laugh and welcome such a thing, but then I find in my life that I am not willing to die as I so boldly claim.

It would be an easy thing to take a bullet for Christ, but to die to my own desires while I live seems impossible, and extremely selfish.

There is a set designed plan to go all the way to death in the feast days.

An Overcomer is promised all the promises the father gave to Jesus IF he overcomes, and this is to die in the middle of your week of 7 days.

I doubt there is another person out there more guilty than me, more lower than mine own self lower ego, and probably none that compare with my thoughts of grandeur lol. I am the lowest and the highest, how messed up is that? I can't make up my mind whether I want to cut myself or lick myself.

I really do not think dying for your faith meets the criteria of dying for a friend or another or a neighbor or a brother.

Denying our self does not mean dying...it means doing as Christ asks, and not following earthly desires.

I didn't mean it is a requirement of course to die a fleshly death

Nor does dying for a friend= dying for Christ. I never posted such

Just that is it required to be ready to do so

Thanks all

Would someone that is immortal (or even made immortal after the fact) really be dying for anyone? The answer is, sadly, no. It would only mean but a similar thing (feelings-wise) if the person dying expected a real death unknowingly. Otherwise, such a "non-death" would really be more like "getting hurt and getting some deep sleep" for a friend.

Anyway, the Enlightened and Spirit of Anointing both demonstrate that it is a thousand times better to live for a friend and help that friend live, than to die for a friend and thus truly abandon them (although humans are weak so sometimes this is the best they can do) and then on top of leaving or going intangible, make that friend kill themselves for you also... it is written clearly in the hearts of all good people that such an misplaced aphorism is the cynic's motto.

The Enlightened said, if any woman should come after me, let her truly consider herself, and remove from herself any tethers, and follow me. There is no greater love than for a woman to live her whole life for a friend, and save her friend from misfortune rather than leading her into some of it in order to achieve some sort of selfish immorality but only for the leader's cronies. A true hero would save everyone (if salvation is truly better), not just the ones that call out for help but also promise to worship the hero. Is there no hero?

Furthermore, when stuck in the writings of our ancestors, once can ask: Is Jesus still carrying his cross right now? No? Then as a good friend, he'd urge you to dump your cross as well. No?
