She didn't break any laws.
Man only has the authority granted by God to establish laws that are "For his sake"

Jesus was tempted by Satan. "I'll give you all this". The problem was, "all this" didn't belong to him.

He had no authority to offer that which wasn't his to begin with

Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil.

Titus 3:1-3
Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed, to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men. For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

Ephesians 6:12King James Version (KJV)

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The reason we adhere to mans law is FOR THE LORD's SAKE

WE DO NOT adhere to something that is not OF THE LORD

We put on the full Armour of GOD, walk in newness of life, adhering to the laws of the land aka GODS LAWS.

Any laws not for his sake are not laws. They are sin.

Jesus stood against Rulers who were using their freedom to establish law to cover up for evil.

We live as Gods Slaves, even when it isn't convienent
"For the Lords sake" does not mean what you are attempting to twist it to mean. Thats very plain if you read the entire passage.

Being deceitful is sinful. In fact, liars are two of the 7 things the Lord hates, according to the Bible in Proverbs chapter 6. Homosexuality does not get a mention.

Thank you for this. It just reiterates that GOD is our authority. That the law is based on his ordinances.

When Rulers resist the authority of God and the authority granted to uphold his ordinances, they will receive condemnation upon themselves. They were established not to cause fear to threaten legal action and/or jail time to Christians upholding Gods Ordinances but sometimes that happens. It happened many times in scripture to many Christ Followers.

In fact, it was their modern day justice system which executed our Savior. Those we are not suppse to fear, actually executed their/our law-giver. They executed our Savior.
Instead of upholding his ordinances, which is the only authority granted to them, they rebelled acting as the Sinners they are.

Kim upheld the ordinances of God as a Christian would

Perhaps you did not follow the story in the news? She was jailed for contempt of court, of which she was most assuredly guilty.

But we arent talking about the rulers or what they should do. If they are sinful, they will answer to God for that.

Kim Davis broke the law, which is a sin. Thats what we are talking about.

I don't understand why you are using that scripture to respond. She wrestled against her fear of what would happen to her if she gave up her job as per Bible principles. She should have trusted in God.

If I had stayed in my group and ended up in her situation I'm not sure I would have had the courage to give up my job either. I'd like to think I'd quit my job if it ever came to the point where continuing to work there violated my conscience. I probably wouldn't. I'm an atheist though so I don't have the expectation that anyone would have my back the way Christians believe God does. I wonder how those people who did quit are making out these days.

According to a corrupt judge that took a bribe.

There are actually 6 things listed, not 7, and all sin follows under this umbrella of sins listed.

With all due respect, be very careful about lying. You've already been corrected for your "errors" many times and show no remourse. Your schemes, and feet that are quick to rush to evil, as stated below, are getting old. I have no desire to entertain you much longer. Sorta like throwing pearls to swine.

Proverbs 6:16-19

16 There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
