The only true God is mentioned in John 17:3. How can we make the different Christian religion become united as one is we worship different gods? Some call Jesus as God while others do not, that He is just an ordinary man. So many different interpretations of who the only true God is using the same Holy Bible. Who is correct among them?
why do you insist on making all men look and think the same? all place and sins around the world are not the same..
IN REV Jesus clearly speaks to 7 different churches.... these churches had their hey day in time and will also exist at the end. thus they were , are and will be ..true pictures of his body all the way to the end of time , and there will be no end. .. . each church as it 's own glory( he praises each one for some strength they possess and each it own light (lamp stand) and it's own failures !
yes a rose has it's own glory and it own strength and it's own failings ...... should we do away with all rose bushes because rose bushes have thorns? .... r because roses don't look like daisies . and who decides what the perfect flower is ?
it appears the most perfect of the churches is Philadelphia / Alesehir ( true brotherly love as Jesus would do it ) and is the mother church of the 7 church system. .. but they also have little strength and live a very powerful world.. but all the churches can't be her or the churches might cease to exist! even maybe without the sins of each church maybe those churches wouldn't exist either ! because we live in such a fallen world that maybe those are their only strengths and in an upside down world that allowed them to even exist and protect themselves some how.
maybe with out the spirit of Jezebell in those churches the world would have burned them down for being such " bigoted fundamentalists" ... so in order to exist maybe they compromised with the spirits of perversion in society and with the spirits of witchcraft and control in society that is rife in every society but taking on different avenues in different cultures due to the sins in their societies and cities around them .. .. and it seems they did the politically correct thing and did not speak of the sexual perversions , and all the other idolatry in their midst..
see how that works?
so each of the daughter churches seems they have areas they compromised with society in order to even exist maybe . so depending on the society around them they hung on to all they could and compromised where they had to .
but they each also have their own glory and their own faithfulness to the society around them and to HIM .
there is no one perfect flower or a perfect eye color or a perfect day and there is no perfect society for these churches to exist in and no perfect humans.. so thus no perfect churches. because they are full of people who will compromise with sin.
OP starts out with things that we need to believe ABOUT God and complains of differences in views ABOUT God. Why are they so important? Look carefully at that reference to "the one true God" in John. Are there things to believe ABOUT God other than How God relates to US?

nateswift, the one true God has been related to you several times.
He is absent being guilty of things he never made requirements of.
Meaning His nature is love and so he said feed his sheep and lambs.
He said to tend to those in need and to tell no lies about why can't.
You have read the truth enough times that indeed God is omniscient.
He has a name most terrible that no one knows what it is, he said it.
The Book of Revelation is more real today than any time before this.
Every generation had some of the same factors, but these the days.

Not false idols like money, because that isn't a false God...just an idol your putting on some pedestal of importance....so what...something that is not omnipresent?
