I found a bunch of awful verses that encourage thanks, thankful(ness), and thanksgiving:

Heb 12:28
1Ch 16:8
1Th 5:18
Ps 95:2
Ps 100:4
Php 4:6
1Ti 4:3

I guess we need to tear out those pages. How dare we do something good, pure, loving, and appreciative?

God expects those things--DAILY--Thus there would be no reason whatsoever to set a day aside to do what should be done daily as a normal path.

strange how the "celebration" of His death is always on a different day, huh?

I am thankful it turned out the way it did. I don't find joy in it, but I am thankful.
are we not ALL born with sin?

I fail to see why celebrating a day of giving thanks is a blatant disregard for cultural differences. You didn't really elaborate on that thought. You just made the statement and seem to have assumed we'd all agree.

Who said Thanksgiving can only be an annual event, something only once a year? Most that I know are thankful every day, with an extra dose on one particular day. The Thanksgiving celebration is an addition and plus, not a minus/negative.

Some people - including on this forum - live for difficulty, finding fault, and making life damn complicated. Nothing is sacred, nothing can be appreciated at face-value, nothing can be left alone without toying with it, sticking it under the microscope, and analyzing and overanalyzing it until all life and beauty have been destroyed. Nice job. Pat yourselves on the back, big people. Enjoy your narrow focus and cold-hearted legalism. You'd never see a blessing - even if under your very own nose.
