You do know there are very clearly tells US how to think?. God is not thinking for you. He gave you a mind to use and you can use it think carnally or spiritually.
That's true too, but it also says that if the world hated Him it will hate us also. So how do we reconcile both to be equally true? Times and seasons of growth. Peace
Rbbi 1 ole friend, don't get sucked in by the secular view of fundamentalism. They try to make Christianity the religion of the uneducated and ignorant. The accuse us of taking all of the Bible literally. The Bible says to love our neighbor as our self. We take that literally, but they accuse us of hating. They cant have it both ways.
I am sure that Baptist Fundy who believes God hates sinners would agree, that Jesus was hated and despised by those he came to save. Those who were deep seated in a religion that made devil worship look good.
I seriously doubt if BF believe God hates sinners. That is not a fundamental teaching of the Bible.
Fundamentalist thought and attitude is uncomfortably similar to the groups that Jesus often butted heads with; such as the Pharisees, Sadducees, etc. Full of legalism, full of judgement, and short on love. It's basically opposite Jesus and his message. The hearts of those that engage in it are so full of darkness that they're blinded to how far off-base they are.
Fundamentalism shouldn't be defended, because it's warped and hostile, and obscures the teachings of God/Jesus.
People should not uses terms they do not understand.
I said what i said in response to RBBI's claim christians are persecuted because of righteousness. Fundamentalists are not persecuted for righteousness sake in this day and age, they are rejected because they are bigoted towards everything they are not approving of.
My advice for you is not to use words you don't understand.
