NO it's not God. God created a perfect world a perfect garden and two perfect people. HE said it was good, animals were peaceful, His two people walked and talked with Him in the garden. God didn't even allow rain in the garden, it was watered with a mist morning and night. So what happened to turn the world upside down? The fall started with a most beautiful perfect angel deciding he wanted to not just be like God, but in pride wanted to be God. That won't happen, God is sovereign and nobody will take His role from Him. So Lucifer was cast out of heaven and came to earth along with one third of the angels. Lucifer was a powerful and charming creature and we all know what happened in the perfect garden. Adam and Eve had the simplest of the dispensations, don't eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil (THE LAW). The law did its job and killed them SPIRITUALLY not physically until much later. In the interim God had given the title deed to earth to His perfect people. They were to manage the earth with Jesus at the helm and name all the animals of the planet. What had been joyous and lovely went South immediately as soon as SIN (disobedience) entered the picture. The title deed to earth was lost to Lucifer and the perfect world was now cursed and beginning its descent into the madness we see today. Satan has been in charge ever since. So why does God allow satan to remain, since in the end Jesus just boots him into the lake of fire? Because satan offers a clear choice of disobedience and hatred towards God. You can't claim man has a free choice without a valid option, and satan is it. ALL the murder, sickness, and war on the planet all trace back to the one who came to steal, kill, and destroy. The unbelieving on the planet mistakenly blame God for the misfortunes of the world, while satan continues invisibly on his mission. He remains in stealth mode at all times, since being revealed doesn't further his aims.
God CAN"T be the cause of turmoil since He is pure love and holy in all His actions, but He has allowed satan here to be a clear choice for those who want nothing to do with God. After man experiences all that is NOT perfect and cursed He will be ushering in a new perfect world. The introduction to eternity will be the 1,000 year Millenium, and then those who believe will go off into an exciting PERFECT eternity.

When I was a kid playing telephone in grade school, the word changed from the beginning to the end.
IF Adam & Eve were the first, evolution over millenniums has created the monster of today. It's the cause/effect of being at the top of the food chain. Entitlement, false power. We are not as great as we think we are, and humans don't know how to live humbly and grow.

No, the angel whose name we do not know made himself Satan. Satan is not a name but a description of a rebel. It means:

He chose to oppose God.
I believe Satan is just doing what he was created for, his actions led to us being able to have free will in the first place, if there was no 'alternative' to God, there can be no choice, it would be like going to the store to buy ice cream, if the store ONLY has vanilla, the customer really doesnt have a choice what type of ice cream to buy, in order for there to be a choice, there MUST be at least 2 selections to choose from.
Furthermore, if Satan was truly kicked out of heaven for his actions, why would God banish him DOWN WITH US? this makes no sense, its like punishing the fox by locking him inside the hen house!
God could have just turned satan and the other fallen angels to dust once the war in heaven was over, or banished them to some distant place where they had no contact with humans, angels or God.
God is God, he could have done anything, it was well within his power to create a place of punishment for them, hell does not apply, since they were NOT sent to hell, they were sent to earth, among us. This alone is a big red flag to me.
