Therefore rejecting universal health care is not a Christian value or idea, and it must instead be coming from a source outside the Bible and Christianity. Politics? TV? Hate radio?

In the opposite direction, there is a lot of support and discussion of care for others from Jesus. He talks about giving to those who lack, feeding the poor, helping the sick. He gave enormous attention to them, and healed the blind, the paralyzed, the lepers, those with a non-functioning appendage (arm, leg). He loved people and tried to bring happiness, healing, and a better life. He never sided with those who hated people. Instead, he called them out and exposed them, as we should too.

It's not rocket science to see what Jesus (and therefore God) cares about. But many no longer want any of that. They want to listen to haters, and be haters. They want to wear a Christian badge, think they have a ticket to heaven, while they live like hell.
Jesus predicted about how deceived people would be at the end of the ages. And they are! It's astonishing really. Hating the poor and supporting the filthy rich? It's stunning really. I am beginning to think maybe once you get that deceived, it is impossible to return to a normal state of mind.

It IS happening. And a huge revealing is upcoming that will make Americans weep, but it will be too late to change because there has been a huge deception going on that is yet unknown to the majority. It's pretty shocking. Brace for impact! I do not look forward to the fallout.

Any scripture written thousands of years ago is going be quite conservative compared to the society we live in today. But if Jesus were around today would he be a liberal or conservative?
Would He hang with the Falwells and the Swaggerts or would He hang with the homeless and the down and out? No answer required. We already know.

Yes he had leftist views Republicans today would hate him since he wants to help the poor. t is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

He might spend time with both, but he wouldn't have friendly and encouraging words for the Falwell/Swaggert types. He'd put them in their place - like the Sadducees and Pharisees - and then get back to the people worth spending time with.

Neither. It’s funny how liberals will try to paint Jesus as some leftist. Maybe Jesus wouldn’t be a Republican, but he sure as hell wouldn’t be a Democrat either.

All the republicans I know Love helping the poor. The frowning at the government giving welfare to somebody who refuses to work doesn’t mean they don’t want to help the poor. Churches have offerings and donations as a way of helping the poor and needy. Not to mention the mission trips that churches put together. Especially the conservative mega churches. Do some research before you sprout out ignorance.

The Republicans I know do not like helping the poor. They seem to have the same ignorant talking points about the poor not wanting to work. The ignorance about the poor wanting free stuff from the government is the lie you tell yourselves.

Jesus would be appalled. He would throw down your table of lies. He would tear down the temple of mega churches you build.

God knows you only help yourselves. You puff yourselves up by saying,,, Look here Lord. Look at what we do. Over here. We have a shiny mega church. So big you cannot miss it.

jimmiej? That is you patting yourself on the back.

You are a better man than that.
