Actually, the cup test is purely symbolic..

How was the thief able to pass such a test?
That test concerns a child. We are given a seed to raise on the milk of the word until that child learns the meat in due season and he becomes a brand new creature that the bride gives birth to unlike any other birth because while women today birth babies, the bride of Christ will birth full grown sons and this being a virgin who bears a full grown man.

But the bride who commits adultery in pagan ways, she has never given her child the meat in the seasons that we are supposed to learn and know. An adulterous bride drinks the cup for a test to see if she has been committing adultery and if she has committed adultery, her stomach will swell up and tell on her because she will look pregnant but bear only death and air. Her thigh will rot to tell on her, and in the times of bearing children, the child she has will be killed just like Revelation 2 explains.

The Adultery Test
…26and the priest shall take a handful of the grain offering as its memorial offering and offer it up in smoke on the altar, and afterward he shall make the woman drink the water. 27When he has made her drink the water, then it shall come about, if she has defiled herself and has been unfaithful to her husband, that the water which brings a curse will go into her and cause bitterness, and her abdomen will swell and her thigh will waste away, and the woman will become a curse among her people. 28'But if the woman has not defiled herself and is clean, she will then be free and conceive children.…

Can one really call themselves "saved" if it's so easily lost?

Jesus came to seek out and save the lost. But I don't think you'd agree with another translation that says, For the Son of Man came to find and restore the lost. Because your notion of God is a god as stumped and powerless to save and restore as the one the JWs squawk (think noisome parrot) about .

The law is all spiritual, Jesus came teaching the secrets of what the law was truly saying, and the law is simply a marriage contract that if you live by it, things will go good for you. There were Jews who taught Gentiles that they must be circumcised to be saved, and that is just ridiculous. Salvation alone is to be the least in the kingdom and there is nothing that you can do that is going to separate you from God's mercy, and having said this, there is indeed a ladder to climb in seeking reward well above salvation. The idea is that you raise a new born in the light of the word so that he know God. Paul shows this over and over that his people were not studying the law and the prophets enough for Christ to be formed in them, and Paul lost his cool with them saying he was perplexed because of their lack of study. I don't go around telling people to keep the Sabbath laws or to keep all the laws of the 7 feasts of Jesus because the main focus is that YOU KNOW THEM. The whole idea is to know the word of God like the back of your hand and to know the laws and customs in a very familiar way so that YOU TOO can find the spiritual laws that are hidden. Jesus came teaching the spiritual secrets of what the law was really meant for, and it was all meant for us to raise a son of God by reading the word all day long and to dive into the feasts that we are so proud that Jesus walked in. Those feasts are made for man to raise a son, it is literally the meat of the word where there are 7 feasts of eating meat set up to teach us about God, and to teach us that God doesn't want us to sacrifice a bull for sukkot, but that we should tame the bull of our lips, and God doesn't want us to sacrifice a Passover lamb, but we are to learn that we should die daily, EVERY DAY so that Jesus can live within us, and this completes the Passover because it takes two.

That's better... somewhat better. Seeking a better resurrection... though if you have Jesus within you, your heart, then you have a friend who says:

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.

I'd be satisfied with that.

We don't have to be completely in the dark when we wonder what heaven is, when we wonder what Salvation is. The Temple and all it's comings and goings only serve as a copy and shadow of the HEAVENLY SANCTUARY.

All one needs to do is to study the design of the temple and the comings and goings of the temple if they want to have a clue about what salvation is. Salvation is found in the outer court of darkness where the alter of sacrifice stands in the brazen court, and this serves as a copy and a shadow of what salvation is in the court of heaven which happens to be outside the city. Jesus spoke of the least in the kingdom and why they were called the least in the kingdom. Jesus also links this least in the kingdom with the outer court of darkness where he sends those who disrespect the law.

The outer court of Salvation is not part of the two sections of the Temple Proper, and ONLY Israel may enter into the Temple but nobody is stopping any Gentile from obtaining an inheritance in Israel, this inheritance in Israel is to be able to walk in the temple, It is only offered when you decide to keep the Holy days and Feasts that God ordained for all to keep. Isaiah 56 explains this TAKING HOLD OF THE COVENANT by accepting God's worship system so that no Gentile would have to mourn that he was not Israel.

Hebrews
Christ's Eternal Priesthood
…4Now if He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are already priests to offer gifts according to the Law. 5They serve as a copy and shadow of the heavenly sanctuary. That is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle, “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”

Salvation alone, it is not reward.

1 Corinthians 3
14If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Salvation is found in the court, but reward is found after you walk a progressive walk into that first section of the temple, and as soon as you accept the ways of Jesus with his feasts and his worship system, God promises you a name better than sons or daughters, and he gives you an inheritance in Israel if you will only accept his Sabbath and his feasts to be your own.

It isn't much to ask when looking at the difference between those who are saved in the outer court weeping and gnashing their teeth because they found out there is something much greater than salvation, and Paul told us it was a race for a better resurrection and those first disciples gave up everything for a better resurrection, to be counted amongst those who obtain the first resurrection, I doubt I will.

When the dispensation of Grace came those accepting it became free. Those still holding on to the law are still slaves to the law.

MANY who practice one or more of these things-1Corinthians 6:9-11, Galations 5:19-21 are being assured--you are saved or born again by those who do not know. By those who told many the same words. Both of those bible quotes assures that ones who do practice any of those sins will NOT enter Gods kingdom.
In the new covenant--LOVE--Law would be written on ones heart. It really wasn't done away with. If one has that love, their hearts wouldnt even consider stealing from their brothers, coveting their things or mates. Having any other gods before their faces, etc, etc all the way down the line. Those who possess that kind of love will get grace.

Where does it state that it will be written on one’s heart?...
