No, you do not. You believe the Bible and everything in it. You make no effort to actually KNOW Jesus and what He was like. There are sufficiently unambiguous descriptions of Him that you should be able to know exactly what His character was like. But you prefer to just accept everything attributed to Jesus in the book whether or not it makes sense as something consistent with the character of Jesus and the God He revealed and demonstrated. That is NOT studying to show yourself approved, that is just lazy easy believism.
I used to be God fearing too. Heaven and Hell. Good and evil. Then I put aside everything I learned in Catholic school and read the Bible for myself. Repeatedly. Instead of memorizing scripture, I focused on the message. I came to understand the agape love that God has for all of us is very evident in scripture. Jesus continually shows his frustration for those who ignore or reject his great love.

Yes, I do and here’s why. The prophets before Jesus and the apostles after Him said the same thing. John 3:16 is echoed throughout scripture.
Do you die a physical death (possibly a very painful one), because you prefer that over life?
Truth is not a matter of choosing something based on personal preference. Truth just is. You can't change it by offering something which sounds better.

No one is denying that God’s love and salvation is available to all. Just seek God. However, many reject Him. What will happen to those people? According to scripture, it won’t be pleasant. Shouldn’t we warn them? Shouldn’t we share the good news?
Ok, your personal opinion. But God says we all fall short. It is extremely foolish to just ignore it. The Lord is not to be trifled with.
God fearing does not mean just being afraid of God. To revere and respect who He is and to fear His power for He has complete authority to do anything. Only by His mercy we will be saved. Yet He can destroy the body and soul. We have absolutely no power to reject his decision.
So folks better start waking up and put away their false gods

So, does my believing that hell and eternal torment is nothing other than a cruel ploy of the Evangelical Church propagated to keep their flock in line mean that I'm somehow showing allegiance to a false god?
By the way, ST, I've noticed that you appear to steer clear of the 'tricky' questions.
Why don't you tell us something about Him we don't already know.
Right, true believers in Jesus know Him and the Bible. False ones know maybe one or the other, but not very well or they would believe in both.
