Universalism is a false doctrine which is based on misunderstood/misinterpreted Bible verses, though the vast majority of Universalists will never acknowledge that.
If anyone should open-up their eye of understanding, then you might consider doing that!
It's people like you, and your Greek scholars that have kept religion in the dark ages.
As shown in post #368, even the Greek scholar A. T. Robertson, himself apparently a Universalist, understood that the Greek word aion carried the meaning of 'eternal' in certain contexts.
And it is clearly used that way in certain Biblical passages. The ancient Greek writers used the word to express unending duration. Your objections simply don't carry any weight and are contrary to the facts.

Your opinion is noted, rather than responding point-by-point to an argument that entails huge leaps in logic or assumptions on your part.
Aion and olam are NON-SPECIFIC durations. The attribution of a more specific duration has to come from other information, eg. The aion of a mans life is 70 years, where "70" is the biblical edict. But if you specifically died at 112, your aion would be 112!
To say it is a finite or infinite duration for any one case misses the point. The duration is sufficient to the purpose. In other words, is life intended to be eternal or are the fires of purification (or punishment) intended to be eternal? Well, it requires other information, and with respect to Father and how we are treated, that other information is his character and nature, and our ultimate purpose, which is either glorious or pointless.
Heaven is now. So what happens when we die? Do we cease to exist? Do we enter the real Heaven? If Hell is temporary, is Heaven also?
Are people who died in heaven right now jimmiej?
Or are they rotting/sleeping in the grave until jesus returns for judgment?
