People do not go to hell is by the blood of Jesus Christ who sacrificed His life for a judgment , which will substitute for judgment of all sin which people may commit , it is Jesus sacrifice only ................ So people could be good all their life and be charitable , but it will lead to nothing .............There is no biblical record of any degree of torture in hell but there will be a lack of coolness , and a dry existence of the spirit for man`s spirit which does not die

The very same question I asked in Sunday school and was asked not to return.

The devil is gods right hand man.

Your questions assume that Satan will be in charge in the lake of fire and is supposed to administer the punishment. That's not the way things are presented in the Bible. Biblically speaking, Satan and his angels, for whom the lake of fire was prepared (Matthew 25:41) will themselves be tormented forever and ever (Revelation 20:10).

According to the Bible, all whose names are not in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15) where they will remain, along with Satan, forever (Matthew 25:46a).

I'm sure that everybody will agree that murder is the most evil deed of all. So don't you feel that murderers should receive far greater punishment in Hell than others?

The point is that there are crimes and atrocities that are much more evil and heinous than others. Let's say, what if someone was just a pathological Liar, will his punishment in Hell be just as agonizing as all other offenses? Many Christians believe so.

And what about prostitutes and Gamblers and husbands who cheat on their wives? Will they receive just as much punishment, just as much torture in Hell as other offenses? Many Christians believe so.

It's different here on Earth where evildoers receive punishment in different degrees according to the individual severity of their crimes. Why is it reversed in Hell?
The Bible does not speak about different degrees, but is says people will be judged "according to what they had done as recorded in the books". Does that refer to punishment, or rewards, it does not matter, because the Bible explains unbelievers will be thrown in the "lake of fire", which is the second death. The exact nature of the lake of fire is not known to any man, since no one has been there and come back to talk about it. All we know is that it is eternal, and separated from God.

Exactly!

Im not sure of the exact verse, but its the one that says Satan must be released from the pit after a period of time, for a short time...this would indicate he has some function and performs some duty for God, if he truly rebelled against God, he would want NOTHING to do with God, and he would not play his part.

Fearmongering is another reason that I left the Church of fundamentalists - it's idiotic and absurd.
It's something people do or say to frighten children, but has absolutely nothing to do with God.
