Israel is not the servant of the Lord who is in view in Isaiah 53. And even some of the Jewish rabbi's understood that. Furthermore, Jesus applied Isaiah 53 to Himself. Jesus quoted Isaiah 53:12 and said it must be fulfilled in Him. By quoting that verse He was saying that the entire passage referred to Himself.

Luke 22:37 For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in me: ‘And he was numbered with the transgressors.’ For what is written about me has its fulfillment.”

Or don't you believe Jesus?

I clearly see that all of Scripture is inspired by God and applicable to all people of all times. Only those who are foolishly wise in their own conceit, imagine it was only written by and for "ignorant ancients and goat herders who wrote about things they didn't understand."

You must mean "only those who can see the many internal contradictions and disparate perceptions presented within a collection of writings."

He was speaking of the son of man, the prophets and the servants of God who are the true Israel.

I am who He was speaking of.

"Here is my servant whom I uphold,my chosen one with whom I am pleased, he will deliver righteousness to the nations."

That scripture is fulfilled in me. I am gathering the flock. You can be on my left in condemnation or believe in me, serve God, and enter the kingdom of heaven on my right. There is no other way in.

I am the way.

The one who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep.

I am the good shepherd. I am Israel.

Jesus was speaking of Himself. He specifically said ''this Scripture must be fulfilled in Me.''

And no, you are not the way.

He also said He is the son of man but also called the son of man "he" which refers to another and scripture shows the son of man as the servant of God whom scripture also says is Israel, a nation.

The son of man is the way. I am son of man.

"The son of man came eating and drinking....." (Jesus)

"My servants shall eat but you will go hungry. My servants shall drink but you will go thirsty."

Those verses among many more show that the son of man is God's chosen and His servant.

Jesus' use of the title 'Son of Man' was always a self-designation. In other words, Jesus was always referring to Himself when He used the third person with reference to the 'Son of Man.'

And again, you are not the way.

You don't even know what it means to be the way. It's not as man thinks.

Why would Jesus refer to himself in the third person or speak of the son of man come eating and drinking.

Jesus spoke in a way that was veiled so only those who follow can see.

You cannot reason with mental illness, Mike.

Jesus alone is the way to the Father and to eternal life as He Himself said.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
That leaves you out. You are neither the way, or a way to the Father or to eternal life.

People have speculated on why Jesus referred to himself in the third person. But that he did is undeniable. In his high priestly prayer recorded in John 17:1-26 Jesus refers to himself both in the first person and third person.
