I have known people who think a heavenly realm with no competition and no, um, sports teams, sexuality, etc.. sounds boring to them.

Heaven for me is a peaceful garden where nothing vile can destroy the peace and beauty -- no death or hatred can be there - no war - no guns - only things that are lovely and pure.

Lake of fire is symbolic.

As it is written; "Aren't my words like fire, like a hammer that crushes rock," says the Lord.

According to the spirit of Ama, to be able to be saved, one must believe that Jesus Christ is true man and true God, and own work. Hell is real. Where will those who disbelieve be sent to?

Then we have what Jesus said below.

Luke 13:1-3 - 1 Now on the same occasion there were some present who reported to Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 And Jesus said to them, "Do you suppose that these Galileans were greater sinners than all other Galileans because they suffered this fate? 3 "I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

There is the possibility of perishing if one does not repent.

If you believe in Christ, you will never perish. If you do not repent, you will perish. This is not physical as it is in Isaiah 57.
The mistake you keep making is assuming Jesus is talking about something into the future. Anyone who is not abiding(literally) in the love of God is perishing, that is a fact. Read John 15 if you do not believe me.

Answer me this too, it has been clearly proven by universalists on this forum the misuse and mistranslation of the world hell, how is it you cannot see this, but when it comes to the word perish, you are like "it clearly means something different in Isaiah than it does in John"?. The point of this thread was exactly that, clearly if perish according to evangelicals means you end up in eternal hell, the righteous cannot possibly end up in eternal hell if they perish, that would be absurd if your eternal hell existed. It proves 1 thing evangelicals will not entertain anything that contradicts their beliefs, even though the seemingly contradiction can be supported by scripture. It is ludicrous how evangelicals are locked up so quickly once they get involved in a church and refuse to look at what they believe, ask themselves why they believe what they believe, and refuse to entertain the thought they could be wrong, and never ever ever question God or the scriptures, because the big man might just strike you down.
