The fire is now out and much or most of the structure remains. Though badly damaged, Notre-Dame Cathedral will be rebuilt. And to that end, two Paris billionaires have pledged over $450 million dollars for its restoration. It won't be quite the same as it was, but it survives.

Just unbelievable, something so symbolic with so much meaning, it is so hard to watch, but I really feel so sad for the people there, yesterday was their last Palm Sunday, so many treasures up in smoke, those poor people need prayer and support.

OH I know how sad... very sad.. but on the good note.. Quite a few of those "greedy" billionaires types ( that goverments want to steal money from) .. are going to all help built it back !! not that anything can replace the treaures lost..
All I can say with anti-church and state laws and that type of bigotry in Europe .. Thank God for rich people!! because surely a government would have never been able to rebuild it, not with European anti-religious sentiments.

it reminded me of the little church that remained untouched under those two towers.. and those crosses and Bibles in that other church here in the states..

Yes, because we all know that the best way for these people to spend millions of dollars is on a church restoration, not feeding hungry people, or helping those who are sick/injured, or anything like that. At least God has his priorities straight.... Right?

AND yes it is, ... but how DO YOU KNOW THAT those people DON'T DO THAT ALREADY.!! AS IF FREE CHARITY IS THE ANSWER TO EVERY PROBLEM IN MAN..
so now some are recommending that we pass around all that kind of free stuff like they do in Africa where everyone starves because it destroys economies. no one works to grow food if they can't make money at it!! NO ONE MAKES MAKES CLOTHES IF THERE IS DAILY SHIPMENTS OF AMERICA USED CLOTHING.. ON AND ON... then we are the next Africa ! THE NEXT VENEZUELA!! ONLY EVEN MORE DEEPER IN DEBT..
just look at communism/ socialism... humanity needs goals and hope AND SOME OF THOSE ROOTS .. or our soul dies.. that is the HISTORY IN THAT CHURCH IS THE roots of THEIR society and NOW atheist have cut the tree off and SO now the roots are burning TOO ..
making everyone poor and destitute isn't going to make you want to get up in the morning.

It seems pretty clear that most people are like me, they dont really care. Its just a building. If God wants to burn it down, let His will be done.
