People are waking-up to the fact that there needs to be more accountability, it cannot just be swept under the carpet.

Just wait until the horrors of secularism open their eyes. There will be a mass exodus back to the churches.

Religion without Christ... sin without accountability... that's a bad mix.

That's an ignorant statement. I'm not Catholic, but I know plenty of Catholics. If you think that they are without Christ, then you're smoking some awfully strong crack. The problem that Catholicism faces is a leadership that has committed, covered up, and perpetuated some unspeakable crimes against the innocent. But that has no bearing on the faith of individual members of that faith.

Religion without Christ??? What does that mean? Christ is the whole being of the Catholic Church. There are definitely bad apples in the Catholic Church (as there are examples in the thousands of Protestant churches too), and poor leadership and accountability; but the fact that the Church is still standing (and has a worldwide presence) is SOLELY BECAUSE we have Christ. So the Catholic Church is NOT a "religion without Christ."

Matthew 16:18- "And I say also unto you, that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

Which is odd because the scriptures tell us to honor our parents, and the protestant church is without doubt the daughter of Rome.
