You don't get to decide that scholars who you know nothing about, and who happen to hold a minority viewpoint are not legitimate. The scholars you are denigrating happen to be among the top in their field. Further, the issue of who wrote the Gospels has nothing to do with ''magical thinking and nonsense''.

And you are not in a position to authoritatively and dogmatically declare that Matthew and John were not eyewitesses of Jesus. Mark and Luke obviously were not and no one claims that they were. I doubt that you even bothered to listen to the scholars that I posted.

The Gospels have as one of their goals to proclaim that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, God in the flesh. Its on every page, the OT prophecies say He is God, the angels proclaim Him God, so does John the Baptist, the apostles, people Jesus healed, a soldier at Jesus' crucifixion, and in some more subtle ways. And Yes, Jesus also proclaims it. Its those who are blind that can't see.
