There are many texts in the Bible that speak of Christians having a direct and personal relationship with God, Father, Son and Holy spirit

pcamps,

Message-"a communication in writing, in speech, or by signals;an underlying theme or idea"-Websters Dictionary

"In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe."-Hebrews 1:1,2

"And starting with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them things pertaining to himself in all the Scriptures."-Luke 24:27

"‘These are my words which I spoke to you while I was yet with you, that all the things written in the law of Moses and in the Prophets and Psalms about me must be fulfilled.’”-Luke 24:44

Yes, it's a composite message (eg communication in writing composed of various elements: The Law, prophets, Psalms, prophecies, etc)

I’m amazed that the one the scriptures testify of is not understood by you to be the message. One day I will meet someone who says they are a believer that actually believes it. This my beloved bible is the one that I love, hearken unto him. This is what you believe, there’s no use denying it.

Whether it was meant to be is a different story but whatever I asked her to pray for it came true. but that's when I was a Christian.

I know now that all that nonsense was coincidence and hoo-doo it was just good gut instincts. Seriously, it is definitely all happen-stance this is, after all, a shot in the dark. My Grandma is someone I will always look up to but she was an evangelical Christian and it's hard to get away from that or dismiss her apparent brainwashing. But that's how I was raised, everyone I know is religious and I pretend to not care and share that I don't believe like they do.

To answer your question, YES, it is all hearsay and concepts from a very ancient book that does not apply to modern times. It should be banned.
The eye is the lamp of the body. If the eye is good the body will be filled with light. If the eye is bad the body will be filled with darkness and if the light in you is darkness how great that darkness will be.

Funny, I never even thought of that ...that there are verses about it in the Bible. Thanks.

I know of the verse I read that changed the direction of my focus (again, ha)...dropping my mouth...
Jer 9:23...but he who must boast let him boast (glory in) this...that he knows and understands me...so saith the Lord.

What? We can know and understand Him? We can understand the Mind of God? the Heart of God?
Doesn't happen overnight....but, you bet we can!!!!

There is not one 'way' that God is mysterious about...gosh, ancient people that had no clue, then wrote
that down and now people believe it is some impossible thing written in stone...so stupid...
Might as well, just put a ball and chain on the minds and
souls of generations with such an ignorant concept.

Jeremiah 22,23 TNAB

Thus says the LORD: Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, nor the strong man glory in his strength, nor the rich man glory in his riches;
But rather, let him who glories, glory in this, that in his prudence he knows me, Knows that I, the LORD, bring about kindness, justice and uprightness on the earth; For with such am I pleased, says the LORD.

Notice the bolded.

It is a certain type who can know the Lord. The prudent and righteous.

Only the One who comes from God has seen the Father.

I come from Him. He sent me.

No one knows the son except the Father and no one knows the Father except the son and to whomever the son will reveal Him.

I tend to believe it is God who decides because any other effort against those who believe in God seems counterproductive. I usually engage the hateful and wrongheaded beliefs directly rather than the entire religion because belief in God itself is important.

As It is written;

"The Lord guides the humble to righteousness and He teaches the meek His way. "

I am meek and humble of heart.

Follow the son.
