The bible is not the message of God. It fortells the one who is the message. The man Christ Jesus is the message. This message revealed the true idenity of God. If you have seen me you have seen the Father.

I’m amazed that the one the scriptures testify of is not understood by you to be the message. One day I will meet someone who says they are a believer that actually believes it. This my beloved bible is the one that I love, hearken unto him. This is what you believe, there’s no use denying it.
Look, I know you've always been on the see-saw of religion, not really sure what you believe. I'll put it like this.....I'm an agnostic atheist but it appeared to me years ago that my grandmother might have a direct line to the almighty. It seemed like everything she prayed about came true. Whether it was meant to be is a different story but whatever I asked her to pray for it came true. but that's when I was a Christian.
I know now that all that nonsense was coincidence and hoo-doo it was just good gut instincts. Seriously, it is definitely all happen-stance this is, after all, a shot in the dark. My Grandma is someone I will always look up to but she was an evangelical Christian and it's hard to get away from that or dismiss her apparent brainwashing. But that's how I was raised, everyone I know is religious and I pretend to not care and share that I don't believe like they do.
To answer your question, YES, it is all hearsay and concepts from a very ancient book that does not apply to modern times. It should be banned.
The eye is the lamp of the body. If the eye is good the body will be filled with light. If the eye is bad the body will be filled with darkness and if the light in you is darkness how great that darkness will be.

It is a certain type who can know the Lord. The prudent and righteous.
Only the One who comes from God has seen the Father.
I come from Him. He sent me.
No one knows the son except the Father and no one knows the Father except the son and to whomever the son will reveal Him.
I tend to believe it is God who decides because any other effort against those who believe in God seems counterproductive. I usually engage the hateful and wrongheaded beliefs directly rather than the entire religion because belief in God itself is important.
