Trinity Wall Street. I used to stop in there regularly when I worked in the World Trade Center.

The church was featured as part of the plot in the movie National Treasure.

I took this pic a couple of years ago standing in the middle of Wall.

We were there at Thanksgiving. Made a special trip down to the end of the island to see it. Alas, it's undergoing a huge renovation so we couldn't get inside. However, we were able to tour the church graveyard.

Wish I'd known (but then again, I was out of the country at Thanksgiving). I'm retired but still work part-time when available, and the office is a block and half south of Trinity. Had the stars aligned, I could've met the other CD R&S Episcopalian!

This work has been going on for quite some time. They must be doing a major restoration. You can get into the All Saints Chapel, which is a beautiful little place. They are holding morning prayer and evening prayer there every day.

I also would have recommended St. Bartholomew's in midtown. Newer church--early 1900s--but magnificent pipe organ, and all sorts of obscure symbolism worked into the stained-glass windows. The tour is interesting and well worth it, and if you can get an organ demonstration, it's even better. We went as a group from our church. Had morning prayer, the organ demo, and the church tour.

I have not been to the National Cathedral. It's on my list.

It would have been great to meet you! We did visit St. Thomas in Midtown, a beautiful Gothic church. Not so far at St. Bart's.

But, yes, full Eucharist at the National Cathedral is wonderful.

A friend of mine lives in northern Virginia, works in DC. I visit her occasionally, and I hope to again. I think on that next trip, I will make that part of the plan.

Another great one in that area is St. Anne's Parish in Annapolis, which might be my favorite town on the planet. We go there occasionally for the boat show and make a special visit if we're in town on Saturday.

I'd add photos, but CD's interface is incredibly wonky.

I've never been to Annapolis, but it's relatively close to me. Google maps sez a bit over three hours. These mid-Atlantic states are a quick drive-through (it only takes me about 4-1/2 hours to get to my friend in Arlington, driving through NJ, Delaware, Maryland, DC and into Virginia). I will keep that in mind.

we Did tour the National Cathedral in DC and would do so again. I hope they do not charge admission to the services on Sundays

My son and I checked this one out in Atlanta.

It was built in 1962 although the original location had been in use with a smaller building for decades before that.
The Inside was a gothic style . clean cathedral with a nice stained glass window.

NOT To be Confused with the Church of the Apostles in Atlanta which from the outside looks like a cathedral, but inside is a TV Stage Megachurch, set up for broadcast and Media
