What needs to be incuded or done when a church is having communion? What is ok to be omitted.
Items like bible verses, proper containers or serving plates, and in what way would it be conducted if the congregation was a majority of Asian and African Americans (if culture also affects how it's done when we think it is a very religious ceremony). Thanks.
Communion - what needs to be included or not included
Bottom line: The REMEMBRANCE of what Jesus did for us all by permanently connecting us to God. All else is human hubris and caprice (also called culture and tradition).

How communion is practiced in any church/gathering is different based on various denominational, cultural perspectives
Communion should never be at the last thing to do in the church service as Communion is not a one for the road, as the faith is diminished because the worship will be lost ..... Communion can be a time of deliverance of sin and spirits not of God, as it was said is there anyone who is sick is a time to expect the grace of God in the presence of the Lord, so it can be a time to command God to get your sin out and repent and command the blood of Jesus so you can take communion without sin and spirits of this world not of God ........ See God wants His children cleansed.

1. Bread
2. Wine
3. A community of people desiring to meditate upon unity with God and one another.

Bingo!
For me Community, communion, communication, I believe are all related and that is what the ritual points to but along the way the ritual has overshadowed the meaning in some circles

On the last night of Jesus' human life, he broke bread and wine with the faithful 11 apostles sealing them in a new covenant. They were the beginning of his bride which would eventually number 144,000 which were purchased with his blood to be kings and priests in the Kingdom of God.
Even though they were attending the passover, and millions of God's people were on hand, only those of the new covenant were invited to partake. Only those spirit anointed Christians are invited to partake. The Christian congregation still meets on the anniversary of that event every year to observe the commanded celebration of Christ becoming our passover. This next year it occurs on March 27 at 7 pm at your local congregation of Jehovah's witnesses. I hope you will be able to attend.
