Religions are good only for socialization and not for the salvation of our soul.
Remember: Jesus condemned the false religious leaders in the 23rd chapter of Matthew with many 'woes' against them.
This does Not mean religious is a social club, but that false religions are.
Notice what is written about genuine religion at James 1:27

When we get the message of the gospel of Christ ( Matthew 24:14; Acts 1:8 ) we will come to the point that we need Jesus as High Priest besides our Savior because Jesus is King of God's Kingdom of Daniel 2:44.

No where does Scripture teach that Adam had a separate soul, nor possessed a soul, rather: Adam was a soul.
At death, Adam ' returned ' back to where he started, the dust of the ground - Genesis 3:19
A person can't 'return' to a place he never was before. ALL of Adam returned to the ground.
The Bible teaches that man has a soul that survives physical death and Matthew 10:28 is clear about that.

When a man dies his body returns to the dust. Not his soul.

And there may not have even been a historical Adam and Eve. It's a story.

It does Not say Adam ' had ' a soul, or that Adam ' possessed ' a soul rather Adam was a soul. A living breathing soul.

I find at Genesis 2:7 that it teaches than man IS a soul, a living breathing soul.
Matthew 10:28 B to be in fear of Him who can 'destroy' both soul and body in Gehenna.
This is why Psalms 92:7; 104:35 informs us the wicked will be: destroyed forever.
The word ' perish ' does Not mean survival.
If we ' repent ' we will Not ' perish ' ( be destroyed ) - 2nd Peter 3:9

You just went and basically repeated what you said in your last reply to me, and you are completely ignoring the fact that Jesus himself said in Matthew 10:28 that man can kill the body but he cannot kill the soul. Now anyone with a working brain can understand that since Matthew 10:28 says physical death can kill the body but cannot kill the soul then the soul survives the death of the body.

And as told you, it is only the body that returns to the ground. Not the soul.

I don’t believe the creation story is about the making of literal human beings though Matthew

I agree with mike that it is a story that we need to interpret using other scripture

Eve, Adams help-mate (wife) mother of children, was not literally made from his literal rib

A lot of people think as the ^ above ^ but to me what is ^ above ^ is Not what the Bible teaches.

First, God created the invisible spirit realm of existence in the Heaven.
Second, God expanded his creation business to include our visible physical realm of existence here on material Earth.

What was lost in Eden (everlasting life on Earth) will, through Christ, be regained: everlasting life on Earth forever.
This is why we are all invited to pray the invitation of Rev. 22:20 for Jesus to come !
Come and undo all the damage Satan and Adam brought upon humanity.
Even to the point that ' enemy death ' will be No more on Earth according to 1st Corinthians 15:26; Isaiah 25:8
There is coming ' healing ' for earth's nations according to Revelation 22:2. No one will say, " I am sick..." -Isaiah 33:24

I notice at Matthew 10 28 B ( the ending part of Matthew 10:28 ) there it reads to be in fear of Him who 'can' destroy 'both' body and soul..... ( destroy the soul )

ALL of Adam returned to the dust from which Adam started - Genesis 3:19.

And what you refuse to notice is that Matthew 10:28 says you are not to fear those who can kill the body, BUT CANNOT KILL THE SOUL. That means that physical death does not kill the soul.

Has your JW organization so completely brainwashed you that you can't even see what Matthew 10:28 is saying?
