Communion or the Lord's Supper can be observed as often as any particular church group chooses to observe it. There's no need to limit it to once a year.

This is one of the Watchtower things that, if I was still a Christain, I would be horrified by. The vast majority of JWs are to refuse to partake of their own accord. The emblems are passed to you, you hold them, then you pass them on. Only the anointed are under this covenant and there are very few of them. A regular JW has to go ride their coattails to be saved. I see this as refusing Jesus' sacrifice. They use the warning about partaking if you are not worthy in that scripture to scare people off.

Jehovah also give humans commonsense. just because he told us to fear no human. didn't mean he wanted us to take this situation lightly.

I'm non-denominational and always believed the bread and wine to be symbolic which of course they are. Christianity is not into cannibalism. First century Christians were accused of being cannibals probably because those who made the accusation thought that the bread and wine were believed by Christians to be literal.
even in Jesus time, many who had followed him. stop because he spoke basically of his flesh and blood being consumed, (John 6:54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day). the Jews lacked understanding ,(verse 52 The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?”).
