Too bad you have to settle for being "declared" righteous instead of actually becoming righteous.
Mark 10:18:
18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
Isaiah: 14:12-14:
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Job 1:1 says, "There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil." No one is as God is, but it's ludicrous to think that there aren't many good people in the world. We should all be striving towards betterment, and not just be complacent and assume that all is well if we acknowledge that we're sinners. The purpose of our time on earth is to become like Jesus Christ.

To walk uprightly and to eschew evil is to avoid touching the unclean thing (2 Cor 6:17), which is man's righteousness (Isaiah 64:6).

Like Job. He was perfect and upright. You posted it right there.
I would abhor a God who required a blood sacrifice to forgive me or love me, period!!! That is NOT God that is a Godfather making an offer you better not refuse, OR ELSE!!!! Totally worthless.IMO!
It is certainly your prerogative to reject the salvation that is offered to you by Almighty God.

It is impossible for God to lie (Hebrews 6:18, Titus 1:2). So, if He declares me righteous, I am righteous (Romans 4:17).

You can control what you believe if you will but spend time in the word of God (Romans 10:17).
Give to God this challenge: "I don't know if You're real; but I'm going to start reading Your word and doing what it says; and I know that if You're real, You will reveal Yourself to me." (see John 7:17).
When I said that to God, He came upon me by His Holy Spirit with waves of liquid love and gave me a joy unspeakable and full of glory and a peace that passes all understanding.

Job had impurities that rose to the top in the process of his righteousness being questioned by his three friends.
Question: in Job 32, why was Elihu angry with Job?
Answer: Job "justified himself rather than God" (Job 32:2) and "was righteous in his own eyes" (Job 32:1).
Even to the point that he was willing to condemn God in order that he might be righteous (Job 40:8); according to God's own words.
Thus, Job 1:1 is not an exception to the rule that we find in Romans 3:23.
