I've decided that I'm really just kind of dense sometimes. It took me several days to finally conclude that this thread is the work of a troll. You got me, Nabors (but I'm still glad you started the thread because it gave me the chance to clear up a few misconceptions).
I have enjoyed the exchanges, I believe it doesn’t matter what sparks the conversations, I like to think that a central part of what we are to do is to continue and persevere in the communications (the word) .... sharing our own perspectives and beliefs is good for helping others explore their own beliefs as well as exploring our own

I don't get the constant attempts to convey Jesus as a white guy. Jesus means a lot to me, but I understand he would have been darker of skin. And since we don't know exactly what he looked like, we'd be better off not driving people away with the overly whitey version of him. Plus, his words are strong enough on their own to not have to put images and pictures with them. Nowhere in scripture does he command us to portray or promote pictures of him. It's constantly about his words (and his commands and teachings), because he knows there's power there. Inversely, there's a potential for images / icons / etc. to trip us up.

Yup, plus after the resurrection, His own disciples didn't recognize Him (by appearance), rather by His words, His wounds, and His breaking of the bread!
