Any insight would be greatly appreciated! I've tried a lot of different churches and this one just has a very strong presence of the Holy Spirit. Would love some advice...

Yes make sure you get the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and then get God to give you a gift of the Holy Spirit of Jesus for extended faith and power of Christ for protection

Ask yourself honestly, are they practicing this?
Of course they do. That's a ridiculous accusation to make. Just pay attention to what every active LDS Christian says here in this forum. They are worshiping the same God you do. They even have "Jesus Christ" in the name of their church.
I was raised in the LDS church but no longer attend.
Here are my top 3 issues with the church.
They believe men can become gods of their own planet.
The prophet in the 1970's said black men could get the priesthood. So God just changed his mind about that or was it the changing times?
If you are a good enough person you can goto 1 of the 3 levels of heavens. You have to earn your way.
As much as I'm tempted to set the record straight, I just don't think I'm up to the craziness and hostility this thread is certain to generate. Nabors, if you have any specific questions, just DM me. There is an element of truth to Spencer's statements, but a lot of over-simplification, too.

What is your baseline source for truth?
What is your standard by which you measure the competing claims of the different Christian sects?
On paper, they do teach some things that are very interesting, and I have not found a way to reconcile them with what the apostles taught. I don't believe I'm permitted to go much deeper than that, though.
Trust those most independent of the group to give the details.
Apparently one has to have left an institution before he can be trusted to provide reliable information. Interesting perspective.
