At least according to how you understand them, right? But you can't conceive of possibly being wrong.
We've been over this. You believe the passages you like, and ignore passages like Jude 5. "5 Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe."
Do you believe everything you read? And where is your evidence?
Do you believe everything you read? And where is your evidence?
I don't need no stinking evidence!
Cracks me up how these debates can continue without end and how everyone claims to have their own very special connection with God. "Knowledge" and with all the confidence one can imagine! They know, feel and understand what others simply can't! Don't you know. Please...
Who here believes anyone who claims they have a higher special connection with the Almighty and that you are somehow lacking or "closed" to what they KNOW is God? What they KNOW about their religion and why theirs is the one true religion while all the others are not? Don't agree with you!
Trying to make sense of all this sort of thing, expressed with such utter confidence, is something like trying to put down a bowl of soup with a fork...

It is the preconceptions that you have been taught that drive your inability to apply the "mind of Christ" as revealed by Jesus on the Cross to such scriptures to assess what they were saying, to whom, and for what purpose.
You are applying what happened in the past prior to the birth of Jesus to the future after the human birth, life, and death of Jesus. What on earth makes you think they would be the same????

You realize Jude was written AFTER Jesus died and rose again, right?

That's a good question for the Baptist, as it is his way or no way, according to his "special" knowledge or beliefs.
It's his belief of the god he worships that has destroyed thousands, if not millions of unbelievers, not mine?
You realize Jude was written AFTER Jesus died and rose again, right?
Yes, and he is attributing what happened PRIOR to Jesus to what will happen since Jesus reconciled us to God and provided the medicine to put us in remission from the virus of sin. But it is only remission, not a cure. Fortunately, we have the perfection (Grace) of Jesus to cover our imperfections while they are being refined out (cured).

So how do you handle Jude's statement that Jesus destroyed unbelievers? Or do you just ignore that point?
Only God could have a book printed and distributed all over the world that UNBELIEVERS can't understand no matter how bright they are. Had a supervisor who bragged about his 141 IQ and how he turned down MENSA, he also informed me he had read the entire bible and won a debate with another guy. He had no idea he would never understand the deeper things of God as long as he was in unbelief. We have many on these forums in the same boat, it won't end well for those in unbelief.

I do not believe it correctly describes what occurred because God would not destroy any of us and certainly not for disbelief. The difficulty is that our ancestors, including the writer of Jude, believed everything that happened was done by God's sovereign Will. That happens to be a belief about God that I do not find remotely credible. So ANY attributions to God are suspect and subject to compatibility with the True Nature of God as revealed by Jesus on the Cross.
