I have a friend who I have known for years, but they turned to the gay lifestyle a few years ago and is now getting married. I dont support the LGBT lifestyle and even though they are a good friend, its still a surprise to me and I dont agree of her new lifestyle.

Would it be wrong as a Christian to attend a gay wedding supporting her as a friend or should I just stay away from it all together?

I don't understand. If you don't approve of the LGBT lifestyle, what exactly would you be supporting if you go? The wedding is celebrating her loving lifelong relationship to the woman becoming her new wife. Wouldn't that mean you can't support the entire event by definition?

Did Jesus pick His disciples based on status and public approval?
Why do you need approval to celebrate and embrace the best day in your "friends" life..they are friends, right?

I am always leery of someone who says "as a Christian". What does that have to do with anything? I am sure most people you know do not live according to scripture in all parts of their life.

No, but their status changed after being with Him.

As a Christian, should I attend my friends gay wedding?

If a true friend, I wonder why you would ask this?

Friendship trumps denominations/beliefs/non-beliefs every time -- if true.

Friendship is beyond understanding. Either you are or you are not
