How to protect from false teachers:

How to treat false teachers:

2 John 7-8
"Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist."
"Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully."

2 John 10-11 (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT)
"If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him."
"Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work."

DO NOT TAKE HIM INTO YOUR HOUSE!! This means via in person, television, radio, internet or telephone. Do not let the devil in!!!

God's Word, the Bible, IS THE AUTHORITY.
Speak truth, based on the Word of God.

Foundation of belief system: doctrinal truth
Belief based on "feelings": not a belief system

The paragraph below is an example of false teachings:

These were Jesus final words
John 13:34 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
John 13:35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

This is what means to be a Christian, everything else is just delusion, so any human being who acts in this way is a Christian, even if he is an atheist, muslim, jew, hindu, etc. Whomever strives his entire life to express virtue in his life will eventually be saved.
The whole deal of burning in hell, is nothing else but the product of unsound perception and lack of mental clarity, and thinking like this only produces suffering and draws people away from God.

The above is false because it is taught very clearly in the Bible that there is ONE way to the Father God, and that is through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus died a horrible death on the cross for our sins and to reconcile us to the Father. He is the ONE AND ONLY way, because that is what the Bible says. To say that there is any other way other than Jesus is man-made and false. It is important to know the difference, because as in the example above, scriptures are also quoted but are completely out of context and have nothing to do with salvation.

Acts 4:12
"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name (Jesus) under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
John 14:6
"Jesus answered "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

God is VERY REAL.
SO IS SATAN. It doesn't matter what anyone "thinks or "feels".....it's what God's Word says. God's Word (the Bible) is THE authority.
Some one who studies and tears the bible up trying to follow the right path and believes it to be the law forever can also be a false prophet. Believing that the bible is the only word of God is teaching falseness. There are errors and there are truths but most people aren't Godly enough to draw the line between the differences.
Our "intuition" is our God fragment helping us to do the right thing. Every single person God ever created has one. (Unless you have gone totally insane) God gave us a mind to think with. God gave us all a fragment of Himself because He is our Father and loves us and wants to be a part of us. When we follow someone else because they say so, it does us no good except make the other one feel good because they snared another one to read the bible.
When I found God, I went straight to Him and He showed me the way. I was actually reading the bible then. I gave it up for something better. Divine Love. It was the only thing that saved me from sin. It was what Jesus tauhgt while on earth.
The best way to protect yourself from false prophets is to walk with God. Meditate and trust your God fragment to lead you. Learn to talk to God yourself. He is your Father.

I know that you probably can't do this because you have it all figured out and everyone else needs to beat to the rhythm of your drum.

If it makes you feel better, you're not the only one who thinks the way that you do. You just can't believe what a turn-off your type post is. There are many people who worship not only the Christian God, but also the god of their particular religion, or no religion at all. However, according to you, that is not good enough as evidenced by your last sentence.

The truth of the matter is that not everyone interprets even the bible that you speak of in the same way. Theologians who are versed and educated on various religions all interpret various biblical verses differently, buy YOU, just YOU, have the right interpretation and are the final authority. This is why religious wars continue to this day.

I wish that people like you would remove the huge weight that you've placed on your shoulders. It is NOT your responsibility to control everyone else. Control yourself and what you do and you'll be fine. Everyone can control their own self and can be accountable for their own actions and beliefs.
Wow, such hostility. Sounds like you have a huge chip on your shoulder and from your post it sounds as though you may be trapped in one of the false teachings I spoke of. That's the only thing that could explain the hostility.

Usually when someone reacts so negatively to the truth of God's Word it means that God is dealing with them. You need to listen to what God is telling you and pray hard for Him to remove the blinders so that you may be receptive to the TRUTH.

Sorry Rev but we are not on the same path, therefore we will never agree. There are certain truths in Christianity that if denied are revealing that one is not a Christian. If one does not believe that the Bible is God's Word, then they do not believe in His Son Jesus Christ of the Bible. Anyone can claim a "jesus", but denial that the Bible is the Word of God is all telling that one is not following THE Jesus of the Bible.

It's as simple as that. The best way to protect yourself from false prophets is to read God's Word and follow it to the letter. God is not a fragment, He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end and PRAYER is the way to walk with God and reading the Bible is the way to remain in His will.

Gibran Khalil Gibran and now Ekhart Tolle and Oprah all these new age gurus are free to think what they want, but that is not the truth and opposite to christianity.Millions of people were attracted to Gibran who was a pioneer of new age,in his book Jesus son of man divested Jesus of His divine nature and miraculous attributes presenting Him a sententious sage,a guru.If we have to attain salvation through our own efforts, the sacrifice of Christ becomes useless. For the word of the cross is nonsense to those who are being destroyed, but it is God power to us who are being saved.I ask Oprah if she dare,to speak on tv about the power of the cross and blood on that good friday in Jerusalem in 1994 in the book the coin of the temple by souheil bayoud,(published in 2006).What Oprah is saying about the Lord Jesus Christ is a deadly error, and it seems that new age teaching is an introduction to the end times world religion of the antichrist.dayofwrath

This is exactly true. The Bible is the absolute norm and standard, the ruler by which we are to live our spiritual life. It is what God's Word says that matters. God's Word is the authority. And any teacher who teaches anything that is in disagreement with the Bible is teaching Satanic doctrines of demons.
