People are ressurected when someone is there to do it.

Jesus said Lazarus come forth, the Disciples brought people back from the dead and when Jesus ressurected many came from the graves and walked about Jerusalem.

There are different times and forms of ressurection, and even different glories of those that are or will be ressurected.

godspeed,

freedom

What happens to those bodies that have been cremated?

Jesus body had not decayed and his physical body was glorified. Will our bodies be recreated first then glorified or will we get a new body?

Um have you ever seen a zombie movie? What do you think?

Much is made of the followers of Jesus in that day believing that God's Kingdom would be in their time. Jesus did say "The Kingdom of God is among you" but He was referring to His own presence among them. Even Jesus Christ, the Son of God did not know when those things were to happen. He said that the angels of Heaven didn't know. He said that only the Father knows. It hasn't happened yet.

You needn't waste energy refuting this Preterist, I know your position well. Many believe as you do and this has been a centuries old debate, as you know.

I believe God will give us a transformed eternal body suited to our new eternal life.
The scriptures that ILNC posted covers it as clearly as human minds can comprehend.

The Kingdom of Heaven is within you. The Kingdom of God is not the same as the Kingdom of heaven.
Heaven means expansion...growth...
The Kingdom of God is where His Throne exists, they are not the same thing.

Bideshi: There is a big difference between not knowing the day and the hour but still knowing the generation---------

JESUS said: "THIS generation will by no means pass away till ALL these things take place" (Matthew 24:34).

Preterist, was the Gospel taught to all the nations of the Earth in Jesus's time? Did He expect it to be? Did the Holy Spirit not forbid Paul from taking the Gospel to Asia? How could Jesus have meant that? There is something quite wrong with that reasoning.

I really do not know for sure but it is unlikely they will be like flesh and blood as we are now. In the Spiritual Kingdom, a physical body will really serve no purpose. I think many believe in a physical body as-is (maybe backdated to 30 seems to be the norm) because imortality has to be construed to what we perceive in the here and now.

If we are already created immortal - think of a butterfly from where is morphs out of. Surely in the next life/age/herafter whatever you want to call it there should at least be an "upgrade". Seeing Jesus was able to walk through walls appear at will and disappear, it stands to reason and with the scrip like the angels we too shall be a bit more special.

I at least want my hair back (on my head that is) not a hairy back.

Scripture says that we are to be clothed in white, that the shame of our nakedness shall not appear.

I think that there is a quickened flesh, called flesh divine that we are clothed with, if we love Him and our neighbors.
THere are other degrees of glory that are defined by Paul.

godspeed,

freedom

I have never read of 'divine flesh' .
I Corinthians 15.50 says ." Now this I say; brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. "
