[quote=DayoftheLord;4716782]I see that Satan tried his best even to worm his way into this thread. Unbelievable.QUOTE]

Is it any wonder with the title of the thread....seems like Satan is haunting us even here.

DOTL, what do you feel in your heart? If you have a deep feeling about what you should do then pray to the Lord and ask that he make it happen. If you are unsure, then just leave it in his hands. Trust me, I know, he will come through for you! Living proof here.

Thank you Driftwood and PG77.....I don't know what to do or how I really feel. And I don't know what the Lord wants me to do, so I guess I'm just in limbo right now. Time for some of that good ol' patience. And more prayer.

God bless.

Jam 1:4 But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

I find our wants, can frustrate the gift of God. "Let there Be" is a powerful prayer.

godspeed,

freedom

This is very true, Freedom. Thank you for the scripture.

The only "want" that I have is for God to answer me. I don't care what the answer is. I'll deal with it through Him.

I usually get my answer when I least expect it.

There is great evil in this world, and as a Christian we somtimes experience their attacks. Most non christians are clueless when it comes to this sort of thing. And sadly, many christians are at about the same level as those non christians. In my case it all started when I began haveing problems reading the Bible. I knew something was not right, but I could not put my finger on it. So one night in a parayer I ask Jesus if there was something evil that was causing this problem in my life, would he reveal it to me. About a half hour after I said that prayer I started to experience things I had never experienced before. I had forgot about the prayer and was sitting at home when all of a sudden I felt like there were a thousand eyes watching me. I was 23 but never felt such fear in my life. Over the months that passed, I was hearing voices and chantings, and even the sound of beating drums. My bed would often start to shake, and I could hear voices coming out of thin air. The only thing that gave me comfort was to listen to christian music. When I did this, the voices and all, would move to a remote distance. I finally met some Christians who were well grounded in the things of God. And they actually knew the names of the demons that were attacking me. On a saturday morning in a house in Crete Il. the spirits were commanded to leave me. The first one, and there were actually two of them refused to go. When they told him to leave he refused. Then one of the woman present saw him begin to burn up on the floor. Before that happend, one of the people there spoke to him and stated that unless he would leave me he would be destroyed. Now I'm not a real Bible scholar, but that took me by surprise. I have no scripture to back that up. Yet I did hear the demon say better to be destroyed, then to burn in hell. The people present told me this was the first time they ever saw anything like that. Shortly after that, the other demon left. There is power in the name of Jesus Christ. And no demonic power can over take the Christian. Yet they sure can make life very hard. If you really think that there is a real spiritual problem in your life, I would first go to the Lord and ask Him to reveal it to you. Once that happens, then you will have a better idea what you are dealing with. Not all problems in life come from the spiritual. Yet going to the Lord and asking for help is a wise thing to do. From the time I discovered the demonic problem in my life until I was delivered from them, six months had passed. If you are a christian, remember you have nothing to fear, even when you may believe you do. We humans often have not been exposed to the supernatural, so at first it can be a little unnerving. Yet just remember, He that is in you, is greater than he that is in the world.

I am glad that you found relief, but I am concerned that they knew the names of the demons. How could they possibly know that?

What a frightening story, Campbell. I've never had an experience like that, but I have felt the very real presence of demons within a structure. I had some creepy experiences in this place, and it took a prayer vigil to put them at bay. I don't believe they are gone from that structure, but I certainly am!! It's a bar now, so Satan is still dwelling there.

I'm glad you were able to find people to help you with this. It's hard to understand why some people have experiences like this, and others never do. I just know that when your faith in God is strong, the harder Satan and his demons try to attack.

But like you said, there is nothing to fear. God is in charge, and all we have to do is rebuke Satan in the name of Jesus Christ. It can be frightening when we are going through it, but God will put an end to it if we are diligent and have faith. I'm going through it now, although I have no doubt in my mind or heart that the Lord has it under control and it's coming to an end soon.

Has it occured to you that His answer may be "No" ?

I do not think He is going to answer you audibly.

I'm not talking about an audible answer....I don't hear God that way. I wish I did, but I'm talking about through scripture or thoughts or a sign/open door. God speaks in many ways.

And no, I haven't considered that His answer is no. He has not given me an answer either way.

Sometimes God is silent, and it's frustrating.
