that God has chosen our life? Not the choices we make or our thoughts, but things that happen to us?

Guess you could say that...

I mean with all the hardships and tribulations...is he just testing us? or does he decide?

I think things happen and we react to them. I think that God gives us tools such as intelligence, our bodies and we do with them what we choose. So if someone gets in a car accident because they were drag racing, for instance, they made the choice to drag race. I don't think God made them crash or was trying to teach them a lesson. He gave them a mind and they made a bad choice.

I don't think God tests us or puts us through any trials of temptation..He gave us free choice and sometimes opur choices lead to temptations.. God does not cause bad things to happen to us..They happen because the world is not perfect and everyday we are faced with bad things..God has promised us though that he would never leave us..If we acknowledge (through prayer) and trust that He is with us, He will help us through whatever life puts in our path..

Hmmmm...very good question from the OP.

I don't know if I believe that God puts us into these trials, but I do think that perhaps He allows us to go through them. But, as Blue stated, He is always with us.

Jam 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

Jam 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

godspeed,

freedom

freedom,
I understand your biblical references, but would you say that God allows us to go through these fires?

His laws are exact, every seed produces after its own kind, i believe thoughts and actions are seeds.

We reap what we sow. Whether it is love unto holiness, or Sin unto corruption.

godspeed,

freedom

Ill recreate the situation that im having trouble with understanding.

Last year my sister was killed by some guy while she was taking a nap before work. Wad God not there? To help her? If we are free to do as we wish, then i understand. That was the guy's will to do what he did. Where was He though? I guess this questioning is just part of my grieving process.
