I'd like to ask a personal favor for the Christianity sub-forum for today.

Out of respect for those lost, the way we prayed 'way back then', and the global turmoil that has followind since September 11, 2001,---

Can we make today a day of peace and unity within the Christian community?

Can we focus on the things we agree on rather than those we disagree?

Can we pray for those still mourning the loss of a loved one on that tragic day?

Can we pray for our nation as she struggles with her free political system and the pending vote?

Can we, just for today, look like family?

Just for today......

(Please add anything else we might do as a body 'In Remembrance')

I remember this song came on around the time when Sept 11 happened, and it played quite a bit during prayers for those lost and suffering.

Absolutely...and I think this need not have been posted only on the Christianity forum but on all three. I think even atheists, agnostics, diests, etc relate to these things equally. Prayers come in many forms.

May we all be still before God today and unite our hearts in prayer,
for all the suffering and the great loss of lives from such a tragic day,
September 11, 2001!
Amen and God Bless!!

May God reach down this day and touch every hurting heart.. May He fill us with His peace, that we can radiate it to others.
