A Christmas tree is doctrine?

No to me, but to some it is. To me it is simply a harmless custom.

Wow, we're a mess aren't we? Over and over again? Hardly. The only change I have seen myself has been a new understanding of the term 'generation' as it was expressed by Jesus Christ. That's it. And yes, I do believe this understanding was provided by holy spirit. If you don't believe certain things are inspired by holy spirit, you can hardly believe the bible itself.

You need to call the Kingdom hall and complain then. I've been in many different congregations all over the US during my lifetime and it has always been our practice to write down the address when a person requests we not call and abiding by that request. Sorry you've had a bad experience.

Had you known more about the JW's, you would find them to be much more intolerant of others beliefs than what they portray. They believe in exclusivity, my church does not. I don't believe in any one true denomination, my own church is not even above question. I put my faith in God alone.

Renriq, you and I have a history. If you can't control yourself and prevent yourself from being insulting, I won't talk to you.

Can you please name these many 'false prophecies'. I mentioned ONE change in our understanding of a scripture which I feel was corrected by holy spirit. If you doubt this to be possible, then you doubt the very scriptures themselves and I can do nothing about that. Remember that the apostles themselves did not have a full understanding of the things they themselves wrote. John, for instance, did not have any way of being sure about the outworking of the prophecies he penned in Revelation. Are we to automatically doubt that the holy spirit will eventually grant us the ability to undertstand these things?

I just get so irritated when so called Christians belittle another person's beliefs and walk with God. It reminds me of the Pharisees of Jesus time. You know, "the holier than thou" crowd.

So sorry if you were offended by my remarks, but it was not my intention at all in the slightest degree.
Ooops! Jesus belittled the Pharisee's and the Sadducee's belief!
Jesus never condoned their false teachings.
