DALLAS – Evangelist Billy Graham is changing membership from a Dallas church to a friend's church in South Carolina.

First Baptist Dallas said Monday the church was told by Graham's personal assistant the 90-year-old was switching to First Baptist Church of Spartanburg, S.C. Graham joined First Baptist Dallas in 1953 during his first crusade in the city but has never lived there.

Ok, question? Billy Graham lives in Asheville North Carolina, is he not a member of a church in Asheville, or does he not have his own church in Asheville?

He is much closer to Spartanburg than to Dallas. Also, he is great friends with the Pastor at First Baptist Church in Spartanburg, Dr. Donald Wilton. I doubt he will attend very often, it is basically just a gesture and a nod to a great friend, who happens to be a fantastic pastor and author. Billy Graham has written introductions in some of Dr. Wilton's books.
