Persecution comes with the territory of living for God. You never know who is watching you, being encouraged, being challenged, being affected, ect. when they see your responses and your light shine. Running away will not allow our light to shine. God has called to us be lights in the world and we will not leave the world, no matter where we may move to, until the Lord calls us home. No matter where you go, there will be conflict/battle/persecution.

I think it's time to take back our God given rights. We need to fire current politicians and hire those who take a moral stand on all issues. The older I get, the more I agree with MAXINE! Right is right and I don't care what people think of me for expressing my moral views!

PS: I'm a real Christian.......not what you expect and doesn't fit your definition, does it? But that's ok. Me and Jesus go back 40 years since I was saved..........we know who we are and how we relate.........
So please be so kind as to explain to us the difference between your Jesus and our Jesus. I do not remember anyone claiming Jesus was a Republican or a Democrat and no one said Jesus tortured anyone or started any wars.
I hope the statement you quoted does scare you because immorality is running rampant amongst those who claim to be Christians as well as those who claim to be secular.

Washington is largly over-run with liberal politicians. Public schools have become unfit for human participation, much less for Christian children. Political correctness has become a rule in the workplace, regardless of moral issues involved.
Would you agree that it's time for the real Christians to pull out of America? Even if we can't go to another country right away, would you consider relocating to another part of the country, as long as it would be a safe move?

That has been tried before, it was called Masada....Don't take this wrong, But God did that once (and justly so)....it was called Noah and the flood.
The flaw to escaping is that "Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me." Psalm 51:5 or as Jesus said "Fleshgivesbirthtoflesh", John 3:6.... in other words original sin would still exist. And like for Noah, "sodom" would appear all over again. There will always be opposition to God as long as this world exists. That opposition is found with the Devil, the world and our own sinful flesh.

The real question is: how many are looking back at this world just like Lot's wife looked back at Sodom and Gomorrah?

(John 17:14) Jesus said, "I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world."
It is my opinion that we are supposed to be in the world, but not of the world. How are we going to be in the world showing our lights if we retreat into the hills? I would love nothing more than to escape into a Quaker lifestyle.. with nothing but Christian brothers and sisters, but I truely don't think that is what God has called us to do.
Mt 5:15 - Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
Lu 11:33 - "No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light.
What we really need to do is start more churches in line with the church of Acts. Be more vocal like the Apostles and Christ were. We do not show Christlikeness by being timid like the secular world would like us to be. We are the majority and should stand up and be heard. Get the Bible and prayer back into schools. Subsidize the salaries of great teachers to insure we keep the most loyal to God. We have the power thru the Holy Spirit it is time to stand up and use that power to set things right and be willing to be martyred if neccessary for the truth.
If you want a church in line with that of Acts, you must also support socialism correct? Do not the early church members sell what they have and pool their resources in the church.

Actually it's Babylon which we are supposed to come out of - lest we share in her punishment.
I haven't figured out yet if it is secular Babylon (America) or religous Babylon which we're supposed to leave (or both).
In the case of the former, I've not been able to determine a destination.
It would seem that Israel might be an option, but it doesn't seem very safe or stable - nor to they like evangelism.
