Bible won't be used at Inauguration

I'm not sure it matters either way unless the person with their hand on the book means it. For decades many presidents have made these sworn oaths and it is a big toss up over if they took it at all seriously. Only God knows the true intent of what is in a mans heart.

At the end of the day, whoever is leading this country isn't our source anyway. God is our source and will take care of us the same way he takes care of the lone Christian stuck in a Chinese prison. Maybe all the financial struggles that lay before us will humble a lot of people to repentance.

I agree but that is not what this thread is about. How can self-proclaimed Christians either on the pulpit or in the crowd in good conscience go to an event that refuses to use the bible. They are fooling themselves if they think God will answer their prayer as they preach the gospel of inclusion.

Any Christian who refuses to use God's word for the sake of not inclusion and thinks they can pray to God and He will answer is in denial.

Only YOUR God wants to exclude people, Fundie . . . according to your infallible reading and understanding of the scripture. More than a few of us have a real problem with that.

When Jesus says, I am the way the truth and light. What does that mean to you or you don't believe that scripture either?
