'Gay' bishop doesn't plan to use Bible at inaugural event (OneNewsNow.com) (http://www.onenewsnow.com/Church/Default.aspx?id=381722 - broken link)
"While that is a holy and sacred text to me, it is not for many Americans," Robinson said. "I will be careful not to be especially Christian in my prayer. This is a prayer for the whole nation."

The above is an excerpt from an article about Bishop Robinson and the inauguration. It's evident that our country has changed spiritually during the past 50 years. How sad that secular Christianity is trumping biblical Christianity. If we were ever on a downward spiral, we most definitely are now.

We ain't seen nothing yet.
This is just the birth pangs, wait till Darkness is fully birthed upon this world.
I am more and more impressed by the Bishop every time I hear things like this. What a magnificent Christian........I bet he reaches more people with the Word than 90% of the pulpit pounders out there.
BTW, Obama will be using a Bible.......and it is only Obama who is being inaugerated.....him and Biden, who, as a Catholic, will also use a Bible.....so your initial premise that the "Bible won't be used at Inauguration" is in error.

It's evident that you and I have vastly different opinions about the definition of a Christian. My definition does not include humanism and secularism. Anyone who wants to try and not be particularly Christian in their prayer concerns me. It's evident that the great and mighty United States has fallen flat on it's faith spiritually with beliefs such as this! We have become like Europe...Godless.
George talked "Christian," Obama walks the walk.......
