People always talk about what they would do if they won the lottery. They'd pay off bills, buy a new house, help out friends and family, tithe, take a vacation and so on.

Have you ever asked yourself, how would this change me? How would I change if I had millions of dollars? Don't say you wouldn't change because we would all change. I've thought about this question and here is how I think I would change.

I don't believe I'd rely on God as much because I'd have enough money to provide for all of my needs. I imagine I would begin wondering who are my real friends since I had so much money. I would probably become more proud and arrogant. Been there and know what I can become like. I may have all the good intentions in the world right now, but not sure if I'd follow through. Being truthful here. And lastly, I think I may get bored. As You've got all the money you'd ever need, you don't really have a reason to go out and earn more.

I don't think I'd make a good lottery winner. Guess I'll be happy where I'm at now and enjoy my life. One less Lotto player!

Well first I would ask how I won the lottery when I thought it was wrong to play it in the first place?

I don't think I would ever want to win a huge amount of money like that. Money does change people, and I'm not naive enough to think I'd be the exception. I know I could be, but I don't think I'd want to take the chance. I like who I am now.

Million clams just doesn't seem like much..

after taxes you are probably talking $600K net... I'd invest it and keep working.. I'd then have more money from "operations" to dole out.

Now.. lets assume I won $100 million..

Oh snap!

Lets be generous and give $50 million to the govt for taxes..

I'd take $10 million and invest it. Man what a time to invest now! DOW at an all time low! Those are gonna be some sweet returns later! Needless to say I'd quit my job (humming "Take this job and shove it.." as I walked out).

So I have $40million left.

I'd probably give $15million to family. From a tax standpoint it wouldn't be smart.. but how fun would that be..

$25 million to go..

I have a feeling at least 50% of that would go to helping kids in foster homes. LT would drive that train. Setup a foundation with some people to run it and work on improving their lives from a young age.

$12 M left..

I'll donate $10M to a diabetes research center..

the last $2M.. pay off the house.. pay off student loans.. pay off any car loans.. maybe buy two new cars.. never bought a new car before! Fancy!

Travel.. would go see Japan.. and Australia..

I could do all that

OR

could go to Vegas and put it all on "red". Let it roll..

I have never played the lottery and never will, so I guess I don't have to worry about it.

Save most of it after the taxes, pay off bills, give some to my family and return to sponsoring kids that I've had to give up God bless.

1) It would change in that Jesus said it is harder for a rich man to get into heaven, than a camel go through a eye of a needle. From that perspective, that would not be a blessing.

2) It would also mean, I would be the target of all the class envy socialists, liberals, commies, liberal socialist democrats , communist environmentalists, PETA groups, SUV haters, anti-american global warming adovacates in this country.

Instead, I would rather not win it and let someone who voted for President Obama have his\her wealth redistributed to me, no more than $249,999.99. That way I can still complain that the wealthy don't pay their fair share and vote someone else in and demand take more from them.

you know, I have often wondered what I would do with a large amount of cash, and let me tell you, I figured out very quickly that I could spend it extremely fast!

I would tithe my percentage, maybe even more than necessary. That is a must. OF course, the governmet would get their share, and I would pay off debt. Put money in retirement, and set my kids up for college and a decent ride and home.

I would also either set up a scholorship for kids who want to go to college, or to help underprivildged people in my area by short term money for essentials and for training for jobs.

See, it just would not last long at all.

First, i would go into deep prayer and find a good financial adviser. Every Christian who is blessed with a major windfall should do this.

I would probably quit my job, concentrate on getting my degree, and go out and be a political activist on college campuses. I'd likely try to hook a gig with the campaign for liberty and Ron Paul. That way i would be working for something that i really believe in and not waste time in a job that asks me to compromise my beliefs, leaves my wanting more, and furthers causes i dont believe in. That would be a major blessing.

For what to do with the rest of the money after taxes and investments. I would buy your usual big ticket splurges (cars, houses, paying off debts, etc.) Also, I would help my family out of some of their expenses. Then i would invest to help a couple of towns, my hometown of Hampton, VA and my mom's hometown in Texas.
