I have received dozens of emails concerning the prediction made by David Wilkerson, pastor of Times Square Church in New York. Because several news organizations have featured his doomsday warnings, I thought I should comment on them. Here is what Wilkerson posted on his blog:

I could go on, but my main concern is not the validity of Wilkerson's visions. What troubles me is the harm these personal predictions do to the end-time message. Here is a disturbing remark I found on a secular message board:
America is a God fearing country and there are millions of God fearing people in this country. To say that God is going to pronounce judgement on America for some of the immorallity that is going on is absurd. Did not God say he would not destroy Sodem and Gommorah for 10 righteous people? There are more than 10 if not 10,000+ righteous people in New York alone.
Apart from this, there may be evil people who will plot to distroy America, like the 911 attacks. That said it would be the evil of evil men and not a judgement of God if another attack occured.

That is why I believe in the rapture of the church, God will remove His people before the final judgment comes. If God does not judge America then He owes Sodom an Gommorah an apology.
