I have not been able to get the fact that our dear blue has missed out on so much music because she cannot hear the words. Music has always been such a part of my life. I can remember being a very young girl and appreciating the 'words' when the other kids where just 'jamming to the tune'. There have been many times that I believe that a song has come into my life at 'just the right time'. They speak to me and touch my heart in so many ways.

So, for blue, I would like to share some of them as they come to me and I hope that you will share to. Please, if you will, add some dialogue as to what the words mean to you or how they may have impacted your life. If the words are not sub-titled in the video, try to add a link so that everyone can read them. I remember hearing that the artist 'seal' does not print his words on his albums because he believes that each individual 'hears' what they want, as it might apply to them...sort of like a 'living word'. hmmmm....

I love you, blue.

Several years ago, when I was going through the RCIA this song came out on the radio. At the time, and still today, my oldest son had not been baptised. So many times I cried to this song. I know that the day my son finally decides to be baptized, I will cry like a baby.

YouTube - Been Through the Water

Preacher pulled the boy up from the water
Alleluias rose from the banks
There was a new suit of clothes from his Father
And a prayer of thanks

The boy walked barefooted all the way home for dinner
And when they laughted at his muddy feet...

He said I've been through the water and I've come out clean
Got new clothes to cover me
And you don't wear your old shoes on your brand new feet
When you've been through the water
Ah been through the water

Preacher turned them aournd at the altar
Pronounced the boy and his girl "man and wife"
In two years they were Mother and Father
And they built them a life
And his old girlfriend saw a moment of weakness
And she said "If you're lonely come see me sometime..."

He said I've been through the water and I've come out clean
Got new clothes to cover me
And you don't wear your old shoes on your brand new feet
When you've been through the water
Ah been through the water

He baits a hook with his grandson of seven
And says "Soon, I'll be free from these pains."
The boy asked if he's ever been to heaven
He says "No... but I think I know the way... 'cause I've been through the water..."

I've been through the water and I've come out clean
Got new clothes to cover me
And you don't wear your old shoes on your brand new feet
When you've been through the water
Ah been through the water

YouTube - "While I'm Waiting" John Waller(Special Dedication Edition)

I first heard this song when my husband and I went to see the movie Fireproof. The words spoke to me so loudly and I felt the need to stay until the bitter end of the credits just to find out the name/artist so that I could go home and google it. There was a certain person in my life that I just had to get the words to. Since then, the words have spoken to me time and time again.

I am reminded that even though I may not hear or see the answers that I am searching for, my God has a beautiful plan for me and I am ALWAYS meant to praise HIM.

Love you Weather..what a wonderful gift....Before I lost most of my hearing (and my voice) I loved to sing..Way long ago they used to put out a magazine with all the lyrics to the new hit songs once a month and my mom and I would sing our hearts out.. I lip-sync now, because I am so tone deaf
I don't deserve this kindness, but am surely blessed this morning and I humbly accept the enjoyment you bring me

"while I'm waiting gives such a great and wonderful meaning to "Wait patiently on the Lord"

"You don't wear your old shoes on your brand new feet" What an amazing lesson..And what an experience our baptism is to show the world our desire to be like Jesus..Such a beautiful and joyful experience for the witnesses as well..Such beautiful words of a lifetime of walking with Jesus..

Miss Blue, these two songs by Avalon is ones that I found recently. They have blessed me. I love the words and images in the first video are beautiful. God bless.

Can't Live a Day Without You

In Not Of - Avalon Lyrics

I hide me far away from trouble
The world outside me grows darker by the day
So I promise to stay here close beside You
Surely God would want His children safe
Then in reading, how my eyes were opened
I find that He is leading us out into the world
Into the middle of fallen saints and sinners
Where a little grace is needed most
Come take the Light to darker parts
Share His truth with hardened hearts
We are not like the world, but we can love it
Come bring the hope to hopeless men
Until the lost are found in Him
He came to save the world so let us be. . .
In it, not of it
Wait a minute
If we say we love them, why are we not in it
Why we run and hide
Entertain a stranger
Maybe entertain an angel
The danger is if our worlds don't collide
We've cursed the darkness far too long
We need to hold the candle high
We have to go and right the wrongs
We need to touch the world with love

Love the world- Be in it, not of it..Such wise words..We can do that if we have love and concern for everyone who may be searching for Him..We can hold that persons hand and help him in his journey..

Shana I honor your gentle , loving ways with all the posters here..What a wonderful gift of patience you are blessed with..Thank you for these wonderful words of faith in these videos

Okay

I don't know what you saw in me
But I'm glad you believed
In spite of my condition
That your mission was to rescue my heart
Don't understand the sacrifice
Why you gave up your life for the sake of my soul
Only heaven knows

There's a mystery that lies
Within the logic of your love
There's an undying mercy
That I'm unworthy of

If that isn't reason enough to love you
Reason enough to give you
All of my heart and soul
There'll never be a reason

If that isn't reason enough to trust you
Reason enough to give you
All of my life I know
There'll neaver be a reason
If that isn't reason enough

You have opened my eyes to see
The miracle you have made of me
I am your creation
So keep reminding me

There's a mercy so much stronger
Than the weakness in me
And there are glimpses of your power
That make it easy to believe

God bless.
