that some can't get hooked up with God is because you over think everything, overprocessing everything
everything,this causes you to you worship your mind , not God
Independence can stop you from having intimacy with God on a spiritual level
or a deep relationship with another. because innocence requires a vulnerability and need and
independence denies that you have a need.

The second tree in the garden was the tree of life..eternal life
God did not create anything that He didn't maintain the system.
Your body was not designed to die. even this was made to live eternal
The whole system works around the tree of life, like a battery that perpetuates the motions.
the serpent suggested to Eve that God is envious of her, Eve's desire was
not wrong...
Eve wanted to be like God, but she went about a right thing the wrong way....Jealousy! he used on Eve, since she wanted to be like God, so Eve's desire was not a bad one.
the same trick that was used in the garden was the same trick that was used in the temptation of Jesus. after 40 days in the wilderness tempting him to go about the right thing the wrong way. all temptation is; is trying to satisfy a legimate need in an illegitamite way. it was not wrong for Jesus to be hungry, but to get it by Divine methods. But Jesus shut him down by using "It is written" Man shall not live by bread alone'........................
You're not wrong to have the need
