[SIZE=3][FONT=Calibri]I was raised Catholic, don’t agree with abortion, and never will. As for laymen, your right we were taught to listen, and never questioned it. Nothing but repetition, as far as learning anything I never did. Yes Catholics have Bibles, but they sit on a shelf collecting dust. As for the clergy reading, why is everyone just listening to him read? I left the Catholic Church long ago; I said to myself there has to be more to it than just sitting, standing, and kneeling. Go sin all you want, go to church and confess your sins, and turn around and go do it all over again the next week. I would confess to the Priest every week, he would say pray X amount of Our Fathers and sin no more. Yeah right, what I should have been taught was repentance. As for fasting that’s just it, no one reads there Bibles. If we read our Bibles, and didn't skip over the parts we thought didn’t pertain to us. Yes that includes me I have done this, but I am learning there is a different way, God’s way… [/FONT][/SIZE]

the bishops i know of are well informed about their flocks' listenings.
deafness is a form of resignation. while blindness belongs to the justice department. any other senses that have not been anaesthesized yet?

How about compassion and passing out free condoms to poor (Catholic) countries were Aids has made numerous victims?
