I could never understand why people who say they believe what Jesus says;
but do the opposite and teach others to as well. Even making lots of money off the fear of people.

Not once did Jesus ever say stock pile food and drink for what is coming to pass.

So why do Mormons and post-trib christian like Jim Baker do it?

Where did Jesus tell them to?

Why do hey ignore the very scriptures they say is God's word and teach the opposite?

Do you only do things that Jesus specifically told you to do? Or do you ever use your own good common sense? Mormons have been counseled by their Church's leadership for years to be prepared for the unexpected. This includes not incurring any unessential debt, building up a decent savings account, and having a year's supply of non-perishable food essentials. If a Mormon family suddenly finds its breadwinner/s unemployed and has followed this counsel, they're going to have some savings to dip into and some food to eat until a new job comes along. They won't be turning to government welfare. If you seriously think there is anything at all wrong with this, you need to re-think your position.

1 Timothy 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

First of all, food and drink are not "treasures"...they are needed necessities...you can't live without them. While I am not one to believe every single doctrine the Mormons teach, I think they are being very wise to stock some food and water in case of emergencies. I don't believe it is "ignoring God's word" to do so. Jesus never told his disciples to stockpile food and water because they didn't have to...the Lord of Lords and King of Kings was right there with them...therefore why would they need to stockpile anything? I mean, when the need arose He just multiplied the bread and fishes and thousands were fed...none went away hungry.
There seems to be two lines of thought: those who say no preparation is needed, just "trust in God". The flip side of the coin has those who believe we should be prepared because the Bible tells us what to expect in these last days, and it would be foolish to not get ready. Personally I believe it is VERY smart to lay in a couple months supply of food and water.
Here's a good read on the subject: Should Christians Prepare for Hard Times

Mark 4

When The Word is Sown some of it becomes scattered along The WaySide.

Those of The WaySide where The Thorns are, Hear The Word...
and THE CARES 0f THIS WORLD, THE DECEITFULNESS OF RICHES and
Desire for other things Entering In Choke The Word and It Becomes Unfruitful.

Although I owe nothing.

I am careful to know there is a 'Deceitfulness' to 'Riches'.

When one refuses not to be continually aware of this? They're already deceived.

weep and howl for you miseries that are coming upon you!

Your Riches Are Corrupted and your garments are moth eaten.

Your Gold and Silver are Corrupted and their Corrosion Will BE A Witness Against you
and will eat your flesh like fire.

You Have Heapted Up Treasure In The LAST Day...

You Brethern Establish Your Hearts For The Coming 0f The Lord

"You Can Not Serve God and Momman.
Therefore I Say to you do not Worry About your Life, What You Will Eat or what you will Drink; nor about your body what you will put on. Is not Life More than clothing?

Look at the birds of the air for they neither sow nor reap nor gather Into Barns yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are You Not Of More Value Than They?

We all know these Scriptures. Even Jesus said those who worry about them are of Little Faith.
Of which Jesus said seek first the kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. Do not Worry About Tomorrow for Tomorrow will worry about it's own things...

Which Leaders are not Peaching this?

Which Leaders are telling people to worry about tomorrow?

Beware of falsehood.

When a person puts trust in God, they don't have to store anything. It's those who do not trust in God who store for bad times.
